Cryptanalysis on RSA (Cryptography & Computer security, Spring 2011)

• Researched different techniques and ways of breaking the RSA cipher, selecting and developing a system for finding out the plaintext using Fermat’s Factorization Algorithm to factorize 1024bit number

• Used C programming language and Mpir library for working with large numbers to carry out the attack.

Cross Domain Chat Protocol Design Project (Computer Architecture and Protocols)

• Developed a user portal in the form of a web site. This user portal allows a self-service creation of a user. Each user can create a room and starts a chat session with other user from the same user portal (domain).

• Developed a mechanism that allows user portals to create a real time chat session among different web sites.

Software reverse engineering (Cryptography & Computer security, Spring 2011)

• The projects involved understanding the security of a real world software program and bypass some security aspects by patching the code.

• Different tools like OllyDbg a disassembler and debugger, Regmon and Hexviews were used.
