Mobile iOS application for secure and efficient cloud storage agent (Ongoing)

• In this project we design and develop a federated cloud storage solution on the iOS platform that interacts with multiple cloud service providers, e.g. Amazon cloud drive, Dropbox, Box.net, and other similar services.

• To improve resilience against cloud service outages, we will implement a network coding based approach in cloud management and optimization.

Distance learning distributed system (Computer Network Applications)

• Used JAVA RMI to develop a client server distributed system. The system had different users such as instructors, students and administrators with different roles and privileges.

• The System has different features like file sharing, data encryption using DES on the network and email notifications.

Cryptanalysis on RSA (Cryptography & Computer security, Spring 2011)

• Researched different techniques and ways of breaking the RSA cipher, selecting and developing a system for finding out the plaintext using Fermat’s Factorization Algorithm to factorize 1024bit number

• Used C programming language and Mpir library for working with large numbers to carry out the attack.

Cross Domain Chat Protocol Design Project (Computer Architecture and Protocols)

• Developed a user portal in the form of a web site. This user portal allows a self-service creation of a user. Each user can create a room and starts a chat session with other user from the same user portal (domain).

• Developed a mechanism that allows user portals to create a real time chat session among different web sites.

Software reverse engineering (Cryptography & Computer security, Spring 2011)

• The projects involved understanding the security of a real world software program and bypass some security aspects by patching the code.

• Different tools like OllyDbg a disassembler and debugger, Regmon and Hexviews were used.

Extra Curricular:

• Developing a unit’s converter IOS application for the Iphone and the Ipad.
