I have recently been searching for opportunities that match my experience and skills and I found the above referenced position listed for Temporary Sample Assistant on a job search website. I have experience that qualifies me for this position, and I am confident that I would be a great candidate. I live in Tarrytown and am available to begin work/training as soon as required.
My experience and background in the pharmaceutical industry was gained while working at Barr Labs, (Teva) in Pomona, N.Y. (I started working at Barr on a temporary assignment but was hired shortly after on a permanent basis). There, my primary training and work was concentrated in the QC Microbiology Laboratory where I performed assays and testing on inactive (including water), active and finished product samples for potency and sterility. I gained a broad experience there by working very closely with all departments including R&D, QA/Regulatory, Health and Safety, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Quality Control.
Primarily my work was focused on maintaining compliance with GLP’s and CGMP’s, and included: sample handling and storage and preparation; auditing records; preparing reports and graphs; writing and validating SOP’S and methods; validating equipment; data entry/record keeping; sample/chemical and reagent ordering, handling, preparation and storage; along with ordering supplies; maintenance of the bacterial collection; and performing health and safety audits. In addition, my science background experience includes working with animals at the Bronx Zoo, as a large mammal zookeeper. I hold a Bachelors degree in Zoology, and Certification from the New York Botanical Garden.
I believe that my work ethic and ability to pay strict attention to detail along with the ability to work well with others are my strongest qualities and I look forward to meeting to discuss what I have to offer and to discover how I might continue my career at Regeneron!
