Walmart POS is the retail billing system which running on the IBM 4690 operating system.
Contribution
As a developer, I was responsible for working in the following modules in the Walmart POS application

Project Description
The Super Market Application runs on IBM Store System which can consist of several Point of Sale (POS) Terminals. These terminals are connected to a store controller which runs on IBM 4690 operating system. The store controller has either a store loop or token ring adapter connected to it. The store controller in turn may be connected to a host also.
A given store may have more than one store controller. In such case a designated primary communication store controller (or back up) may be connected to the host.
Contribution
As part of IBM POS, I was responsible to customize the existing Super Market Application as per the requirements and have done analysis, design, implementation and testing for ezch requirements. As a part of IBM POS
• Configured Terminal and Controller
• Configured multiple controller functionality with alternate and master controllers.
• Implemented user exits in Super Market Application and rebuild the application with the extended functionalities and deployed the same on the POS System.
• Configured SI GUI of the existing Super Market Application
As per the requirements, implemented the promotion scenarios.
• Designed and implemented the module which will handle the scenario Buy n qty of X, get % Off on next Qty of X
