COMBAT LOGISTICS BATTALION 2- CONVOY COMMANDER VEHICLE OPERATOR / GUNNER - 4TH SECURITY PLATOON
UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS, AL’ASAD, IRAQ / OIF VI w/ II MEF (20 FEB 2007 – 09 SEP 2007)
* Worked with a vast variety of communication devices and systems from the basic PRC-119 radio to the Blue Force Tracker global positioning system
* Preformed (PMCS) preventive maintenance, checks and services on PRC-119 radios, Blue Force Tracker systems, Counter IED defense systems mounted on HMMWV’s, 7-TON’S, MRPAP’s and LVS’s
* Personally assisted CGI personnel in the diagnosis and repair of BFT systems in our unit’s vehicles
* Provided numerous classes and periods of instruction to junior Marines and other colleagues working with our unit on how to operate communication devices to include proper radio etiquette and reporting procedures as well as how to load frequencies and how to perform proper maintenance checks and services.
* Preformed hundreds of hours of operation on communication devices during combat operations within the convoy as well as relaying commands to our civilian KBR drivers working with us
* Assisted Honeywell personnel with the installation and setup of many (ECM) Electronic Counter Measure / counter IED systems on HMMWV, 7-TON, MRAP and LVS vehicles. These systems included the Chameleon System, Warlock System and Hunter System
* Conducted numerous classes to junior Marines on proper operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of the Counter IED / ECM Systems on the vehicles.

BASE TIRESHOP NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICER/ COMPANY AMMUNITION CHIEF/ HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

* Supported over 38 United States Armed Forces Units and civilian groups across Combined Area of Operations West via the tire shop
* Ensured my unit’s vehicles were constantly mission ready for the 231 logistics patrols that were completed covering a total area of 55,000 miles
* Kept constant updated inventory records and order invoices for the unit
* Personally administered the issuing of ammunition, pyrotechnics and landing zone kits to the 3 truck platoons and multiple motor transportation augmented detachments
* Meticulously managed an ammunition account consisting of 17 Department of Defense identification codes
* Maintained outstanding communication with the battalion logistics office, thereby facilitating the company’s ammunition readiness by ordering the proper quantity and type of ammunition or pyrotechnics required
* Fastidiously recorded monthly hand counted inventory reports on all 17 identification codes of ammunition and pyrotechnics
* While holding the LCRT Forklift (5K) (TEREX) qualification, ensured any last minute changes to load plans were handled swiftly and flawlessly
* Also with the forklift qualification ensured the tire shop bay was kept presentable to any passer- by regardless of stature, and over seen daily heavy equipment operations in support of the truck platoons were carried out quickly and safely.
COMBAT LOGISTICS BATTALION 2- TRANSPORTATION SUPPORT COMPANY
CAMP LEJEUNE, NORTH CAROLINA
* Held every position of authority within the platoon structure starting as Fireteam Leader only in charge of four Marines to Squad Leader with three fireteams under my command to Section leader with three squads in check on up to Platoon Sergeant / Platoon Commander in command of a total of 63 Marines.
* Held position as tool room Non-Commissioned Officer responsible of our units gear for the vehicles and other assorted tools, this also included strict monthly inventory reports, submitting proper paperwork for replacement gear and ensuring standard operating procedure was followed when signing out/ in equipment.
* Held position as 3rd platoon Truck Master, I was responsible for all the vehicles assigned to my platoon, this meant daily, weekly and monthly (PMCS), emailing the company’s truck master an updated roster of operational vehicles daily and arranging for proper maintenance to repairs to be done to damaged vehicles.
* As a leader of Marines holding positions from Fire Team leader to Platoon Commander was the most important due to being directly responsible for other Marines and their well- being, their growth as a warrior and their success and failures alike.
