• Proficient in process simulation and design software like HYSYS & Pro II; sizing of equipments like Separators, Absorbers, Distillation column, etc.

• Familiarity with PFDs and P&IDs. Assessed Equipment and Specification sheets for correctness. Reviewed maintenance manuals and calculated PSVs and PVSVs per customer standards.

• Experience in conceptual designs, heat and material balances.

• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification.

• Uncommon ability to meet tight deadlines and work within budgetary constraints.

• Excellent analytical and communication skills, self-motivated and a highly organized individual.

Professional Experience:

RECES (Houston, TX) Feb ’08 – Oct '09

Chemical Engineer

• Environmental permitting, compliance, and consulting for the petrochemical industry in the fields of air quality and wastewater. Responsibilities include air Emission Calculations, air dispersion computer modeling, permit application preparations, emissions inventory preparation and technical report writing, under direct supervision and training of a Professional Engineer (P.E.).

Graduate Research Assistant Feb’06 – Dec ‘06

Liquefaction of Natural Gas

• Two processes for small-scale liquefied natural gas (LNG) production are evaluated. These include a single-stage mixed refrigerant (SMR), Mixed Fluid Cascade Process (MFC).

• Single –Stage Mixed Refrigerant (SMR) and Mixed Fluid Cascade Process (Statoil-Linde) using the process simulator program HYSYS and carried out heat and energy balance.

• Statoil/Linde LNG Technology Alliance’s mixed-fluid cascade process uses three MR cycles to pre-cool, liquefy, sub-cool purified gas.

Celanese (Bishop, TX) Sept‘04 – Dec‘04

Process Engineer

• Contract engineer employed by Texas A&M University for a four-month project reviewing all the documentation for Pressure Safety D vices in the Ticona area of plant.

• The project reviewed 897 folders for ISO 9000 requirements and Celanese safety operation standards.

• The focus of the project was examined and updated the PSV calculations for their contents and correctness.

• The review involved revisiting the failure evaluations of Pressure Vessel failure scenarios. This included recalculating the orifice area and preparing a list of existing and non-existing devices. This was verified by checking their existence in the instrument database, PI&Ds, field surveys and Process engineers.

• The achievement was that the project was completed under budget, on time and with no supervision from Celanese technical staff.

Educational Qualifications:

Master of Science in Chemical/Natural Gas Engineering August 2007

Texas A&M University

Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering June 2004

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, India

Teaching Assistant: Jan’07 – May’07

• Conducted tutorial sessions and graded reports in modeling and optimization projects using HYSYS simulation software.

• Assisted undergraduate students with core courses Natural Gas Production and Refinery Process.

Research Projects:

Design of a Natural Gas Process Plant

• Designed a 50 MMSCFD gas processing facility with a separator, an amine sweetening unit, a glycol contactor, a chilling unit and a fractionation unit.

• This was successfully designed using HYSYS. The product met the required pipeline specifications for chemical composition.

Certifications:

• Certified Engineer-In-Training (EIT).

Skills:

• Proficient in process simulation and design software like HYSYS, PRO/II.

• Equipment sizing and specification, heat and material balances, pinch analysis, PFD and P&ID development, relief load calculations, and instrument specifications.
