Supervise 25 Marines and manage the work load priorities of fourteen assigned Marine F/A-18 aircraft. Communicated effectively with Maintenance Control to ensure proper maintenance actions were being taken in accordance with work priorities and unit mission. Troubleshot on the spot and repaired the following: Radar, Communication, Navigation, Forward Looking Infrared and Weapons Delivery Systems.

Technical Training Program Manager ensured that the Marines under my charge were trained to meet requirements for operational deployments. My work centers qualification exceeded the minimum requirement for the unit which enable us to be successful. As the Local Element Crypto user ensured the proper use, storage and destruction of 1500 classified crypto keys. Mentored and developed subordinates by ensuring their personal and professional life was successful. By mentoring them my work center was able to have several Marines of the Quarter at our unit level and twice at a higher level (2nd Marine Aircraft Wing).

As the Equal Opportunity Representative (EOR) I am directly responsible to my Commanding Officer to conduct annual trainings and ensure all national observances are met. I directly advise my Commanding Officer on all matters pertaining to Equal Opportunity and Sexual Harassment. Since I have been the EOR my unit has received a passing grade during the Commanding General’s Inspection with no discrepancies for the Equal Opportunity program.

Quality Assurance Representative Oct 2009- June 2011

As the Quality Assurance Representative I was responsible for ensuring all members of the unit were conducting normal operations in a safe manner and all safety material were being utilized. My attention to detail ensured the successful completion of a combat tour with no injured Marines or major mishaps on the USS Truman.

As the Safety Program Manager I ensured that all OSHA requirements were adhered to, the physical condition of the buildings were up to standard, and conducted annual training for the unit (180 Marines). As the program manager I received zero discrepancies during an inspection conducted by 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing. Brought new companies to the unit to demonstrate their safety equipment and in turn the unit contracted a company to provide us with custom fit ear plugs. Battery Safety Program Monitor ensured that the unit was handling and disposing batteries properly, also as the Electrostatic Program Monitor I had to ensure that all electronic components were treated with care during transportation and installation. Finally as the Technical Directive Program Monitor ensured that all log book entries were entered properly allowing the unit to properly track over 2500 aircraft modifications.

Provided leadership and military training to over 400 Marines/Sailors while teaching them (Theory of Operation); Radio Frequency Propagation, Radar, TACAN, Communication systems, Global Positioning System, Inertial Navigation Unit, Automatic Direction Finder System, Forward Looking Infrared System, Weapon Delivery System, Wire Bundle and Connector Repair had 100% completion rate on all my courses. Course length was 3 months long with an average of 15 to 20 students per class. Avionics Technician Aug 2000- June 2002

Troubleshot on the spot and repaired the following: Radar, Communication, Navigation, Forward Looking Infrared and Weapons Delivery Systems. As the work center Dispersed Technical Publications Librarian kept all publications up to date in accordance with the NATEC website database. As the Training NCO I kept track of every Marines training jacket and updated their qualifications. I was responsible for the development of a comprehensive training schedule that would develop new Marines to the work center to make them a valuable player in the work center.

Volunteer work:

Color Sergeant conducted ceremonies presenting the National Colors throughout the community for veteran ceremonies, local parades, and community events. I developed a working relationship with the City of Hanford, CA for the Multi-Cultural celebration day by creating an opportunity to have a military presence with the National Colors.

Volunteered for the Clovis Young Marines, this is an organization that mentors kids on Marine Corps History, Ethos, and leadership. During this time I recruited over 25 Marines that were in training at the school that I taught to volunteer and help develop the kids.

Volunteered yearly (4) to participate in the Pelco 9/11 memorial celebration in Fresno, Ca and in the yearly fundraiser.

Volunteered yearly during the community Relay for life and recruited yearly over 100 Marines and Sailors to attend the relay in which they would run 100 laps on the track raising over 2500 dollars for the event.

Volunteered yearly for Toys for Tots to help bring in donations for the Marine Corp Charity

Coordinated the yearly Lemoore Marine Mud Run and secured sponsors for the event as well as organized volunteers and community support for participation.
