Born: *nd of May, ****; unmarried

Description:
We all know that telecom industry is moving at an ever increasing pace. The end-user requires more data than ever before for an increasingly lower price. Operators need to adapt quicly. It’s been an interesting four and a half years since I started in GSM and I can say that I’ve experienced a steep learning curve. From tight deadlines to grasping complex technical issues, I’ve had to pay attention to details while keeping an eye on the bigger picture. I’ve come to be able to quickly identify and solve problems, often before they arise.
Work Experience:
Transmission Planning Engineer - 1st of August, 2006 – present day
Determine transmission solution for new BTS/NodeB and insure a timely response in order to support the RF Coverage Planning Office and Rollout Division.
Evaluate base transciever stations placement in the assigned area and insure a quality transmission topology. Develop redundant transmission paths where traffic needs require it.
Evaluate line-of-sight between the above using available digital and physical maps and design microwave links accordingly (link budget, height requirements, channel plans and interference studies – various software tools used, mainly IQlink and Astrix).
Perform site-surveys where necessary in order to determine obstacles restrictions, possible Fresnel obstructions. Confirm visually (if needed) at distances up to 70km.
Evaluate and maintain transmission plans layouts and schematics in the assigned local areas.
Chose appropriate infrastructure for each BTS/NodeB, given future transmission needs. Decide which sites require heavy load towers by considering long-term transmission requirements and signal them to all involved departments.
Provide support for contractor microwave-related works. Provide project-plans for more complex works and issue MW-related workorders.
Education:
1997 - 2001: "Dimitrie Cantemir" National College - mathematics & physics
2001 - 2006 – Technical University of Bucharest, College of Electronics and Information Theory, majored in "Radio & Optical Communications "
