• Worked on developing an alternate process for effluent treatment to improve efficiency and reduce cost.

• Through experimentation and analysis of the effluents we were able to achieve a sizeable reduction in COD and BOD Values.

• The project also throws light on the various equipments used in the process (flow diagrams) and design of the anaerobic digester based on the load and retention time.

• Witnessed the various steps involved in chrome tanning of pre processed hide.

• Followed GDP and observed the use of Rotary Dryer & Roller Dryer in the tanning process and the subsequent shaving process to remove grains.

• Followed SOP for final wet operations of painting and retaining the dye, which was followed by sanding operations to smoothen the leather.
