Univision WLTV, Telefutura WAMI, November 1999 – March 2009
Title: Senior News Producer
• Leader of the entire morning news staff and responsible for all aspects of production and editorial content of the 3 hours live show which after being reformatted under my direction was re-established as the number 1 Spanish-language product for its time period based on the Nielsen ratings
• Created and established the first local newscast in Telefutura WAMI which successfully launched in 2008.
• In charge of producing most of the special shows such as: “Live from Calle 8” (Emmy nominated show in 2006); “Camino a Objetivo Fama”, produced for Telefutura 69 and several others.
• For more than 3 years acted as the news team Promotions Manager in charge of promoting all news related special stories airing at all local newscasts.
• Developed special news segments, programs and ideas that proved to be profitable to WLTV, attracting sponsors like BF Goodrich, H&R Block, Staples, among many others. Many of this segments where very attractive to the S. Florida viewers according to focus groups and some were taken nationally, airing in Univision affiliate stations.
• Formerly also produced all the other Univision Miami newscasts (6PM, 11PM and weekends) with a great track record on editorial judgment and innovative ideas that helped the station, at that time, reach the highest ratings and 1st place in Local Nielsen Ratings both in the Spanish and English language markets.

• Created, hosted and produced the special segment called “Alta Tecnología”, a weekly space that featured the latest advances, gadgets, and inventions of the technology world.
