1983 – 1987 – Incoming Inspection. Inspected a wide range of program deliverable materials including electronic parts, circuit card assemblies, sheet metal, and precision machine hardware. Utilized various tools including calipers, micrometers, CMM, glossmeter and multimeters. Supervised incoming inspection team and assigned tasks and direction as required. Assisted in streamlining inspection efforts and instituting a “dock to stock” supplier approval program. Represented department interface with customer representatives.

1987 – 1997 – Supplier Quality Engineer. Performed inspection and test verification at approved supplier facilities. Surveillance / inspection on major subcontract procurement efforts such as rack assemblies, antenna construction, and other large scale welded structures, printed circuit cards, circuit card assemblies and precision machined hardware. Worked closely with the procurement department to assure that purchase order clauses were satisfied. Developed close partnerships with supplier base that assisted communication and improved quality. Performed supplier audits and maintained approved supplier base.

1997 – 2007 – Program quality engineering duties. Represented program quality staff at project level status meetings. Prime representative for all hardware related issues including directing personnel coverage for areas requiring surveillance support. Representative for Non-Conforming material board and document control configuration management board. Performed test surveillance and final acceptance at program system level. Worked in conjunction with customer to document and disposition quality and test concerns.

2007 – 2011 - Software QE support for high level programs such as FBI / Missile Defense and classified communication programs. Performed documentation review and assured overall quality before documentation packages were sent to the customer. Software test witness / load verification support. Verified operational performance in accordance with documented test cases / plans.

Experience:

• Primary liaison for program level document inspection process. Facilitated implementation of software tool inspection process. Performed documentation review and assured validity of all program related document reviews and inspections.

• Authored numerous quality procedures and monitored compliance for all programs supported.

• Experienced MRB leader. Drive closure activity with full spectrum review. Perform analysis of defective parts and investigate root cause. Initiate corrective and preventative actions and assure integrity of vendor quality ratings.

• Mission Success lead for all printed circuit card fabrication and assembly. Quality lead for entire build lifecycle. Inspected and assured compliance to all specifications and standards (IPC) from board level fabrication / assembly to acceptance testing.

• ISO9001 / AS9100 / CMMI / SCAMPI experience. Participated in ISO 9001 corporate qualification and recertification audits.

• Participate in all board level reviews .Primary representative for ERB/CCB/PCB review boards.

• Provide test witness support at system and sub system levels.

• Project management skills related to fabrication, assembly, integration and test at all levels of program scope.

• Developed and insured that all aspects of the Quality Assurance system complied with applicable standards. Interfaced with Design Engineering to create assembly instructions in accordance with approved drawings. Supported the production floor by following the product from start to finish, resolving technical issues. Apply corporate best practice and lessons learned.
