MANAGER SUPPLY CHAIN AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

Oversee all supply chain functions including scheduling logistics planning and purchasing with an annual $300 million spend. Lead 32-person staff with eight management-level direct reports. Implement and champion Lean manufacturing principles (focusing on variation and cost reductions). Emphasize the importance of individual contributions to safety quality delivery and cost; provide Six Sigma training and certification (5 Black Belts and 140+ Green Belts as of March 2010).

SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Process Enhancement - Developed third-party logistics to maintain a forward-stocking location and ensure inventory availability which resulted in over $1M savings annually.

Led reporting and workflow innovations that included company-wide metric reporting and the design and implementation of a single unit kitting pull process (now adopted company-wide) to improve parts availability eliminate line side stock and reduce employee inefficiency.
