The State Fair Event Center, Lewisburg, WV

• Coordinated all media and publicity for the fair including regional and state-wide television news and radio show interviews, public speaking appearances and press releases.

• Oversaw complete media buys and placement with a regional budget of $60k.

• Assisted in the layout and design of all promotional and advertising pieces.

• Maintained existing contracts with large corporate sponsors such as Pepsi, Toyota, BB&T and Ford while securing several new key accounts including Cellular One and CVS Pharmacies.

• Responsible for all aspects of scheduling non-fair related programming and events including trade shows,, auctions and annual off-season events and expos.

• Spearheaded new marketing initiatives to increase bookings and off-season revenue streams by 10%.

• Managed facility usage of the 40,000 square-foot event center, including all concessionaire contracts and space placement and collections of fees.

• In addition to the annual 9-day State Fair that draws over 200,000 attendees, this 501(c)3 organization provides year-round, facility rentals and educational programs that provide an $8.9 million dollar impact to the region.

• Promoted travel and tourism to Buckhannon and Upshur County.

• Distribution of press releases and maintenance of all media information and email correspondence for all primary addresses of the fair and developed follow-up press releases for the fair. Designed in-house materials (signs, name badges, handbooks, etc.)

• Coordinated all media coverage and made numerous public appearances to promote the fair.
