Eaton Aerospace - Irvine CA.

Nine-month consulting contract. Program manage 2 new product development

projects. Held $4.75M NRE program P&L budget responsibility.

Hands-on leading cross-functional and cross-cultural IPT teams within

matrix organizations across several U.S. sites; Irvine CA and Dallas TX,

and international sites; India and Switzerland.

Program Manager for a $80M new product development program to design and

develop the smart electronic controller for the fuel tank inerting system

for the new Bombardier Lear Jet 85. Held $3M NRE program P&L budget

responsibility.

Led the electronic hardware and software engineering teams in the design,

development, and FAA certification in accordance with the customer

contract, terms and conditions, SOW, CDRLs, DO-178B Level B, DO-254 Level

B, DO-160, and other FAA regulatory standards. Hired and managed FAA

software DER sub-contractor for obtaining DO-178B certification.

Program Manager for a $20M new product development program to design and

develop the electric motor actuator fuel shut-off valve for the new

Sikorsky CH-53K military helicopter in accordance with the customer

contract, terms and conditions, SOW, CDRLs, ITAR restrictions, MIL-STD 810,

and other military standards. Held $1.75M NRE program P&L budget

responsibility.

Led the recovery of a troubled R&D program. Original NRE project budget

was $400K, over a 8 year span the budget grew to $1.75M. The program had

numerous scope, cost, schedule, and risk problems. Led the IPT in

reidentifying the scope of work, eliminated non-value added work, and

established a new go forward plan, budget, and schedule, agreed to by

senior management and all IPT members.

Negotiated firm fixed price contracts with sub-contractors and suppliers.

Senior management reviews. Communicated project status during monthly

program review meetings with senior management. Prepared and presented

stop light charts, financial status, technical status, and EVMS metrics.

SENIOR PROGRAM MANAGER - Consultant

May 2009 - July 2009

Wamco Inc. (Aerospace and Automotive Lighting) - Fountain Valley, CA.

Two-month consulting contract. Business development. Solely responsible

for the preparation and submittal of RFP proposal bid package for a $12M

new product development program to design and develop wingtip LED

navigation position and anti-collision strobe lights with stealth

capabilities for the Boeing C-17 military aircraft. The design of the new

lighting system was in accordance with MIL-STD 810, MIL-STD 461, DO-254

Level C, DO-160, and numerous other FAA regulatory standards.

Led outsourced ITAR restricted U.S. engineering and manufacturing companies

for new product design, manufacturability, product delivery, and product

support post entry into service. Created all documents required by Boeing

SOW, SDRL/CDRLs, including formal price quote, master project plan, budget,

and integrated master schedule using MS Project software. RFP proposal bid

package met all requirements defined by Department of Defense (DoD) Federal

Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15. RFP proposal bid package was

submitted on time. Prior to contract award Congress removed funding for

the program.

PROGRAM MANAGER - Customer and Product Support

May 2006 - Aug. 2008

Honeywell Aerospace - Torrance, CA.

Chairman of the Customer Satisfaction Board for 3 strategic business units:

commercial aircraft, military aircraft, business jets and general aviation

aircraft.

Led the development and implementation of site wide vision and strategy for

aftermarket programs. Managed portfolio schedules and NRE P&L budgets for

54 troubled programs. Within 1 year reduced project backlog by 70%,

reversing a 3 year downward trend in completing projects on time and on

budget. Resulted in multi $M cost savings, freed up people resources to

work higher priority projects, and increased customer satisfaction.

Program managed a portfolio of 14 electrical and mechanical projects from

concept to completion. Held $15M portfolio NRE P&L budget responsibility.
