Provided training oversight for 600 soldiers and officers at different career levels and with diverse experience. Managed major projects and implemented programs to maintain and improve qualification levels. Communicated with higher head-quarters, developed plans, facilitated resources, monitored success, controlled quality, and ensured projects met deadlines and expectations.

Accomplishments

• Managed projects with budgets of $30,000 to $250,000 with effective stewardship and stayed within budgetary constraints.

• Implemented an instructor indoctrination course to standardize technique, ensure quality of teaching, and to augment existed skills. This guaranteed commonality of qualifications and effective training.

• Planned operations and training for 600 soldiers to actively prepare for international deployment. Identified and assessed individual skill sets to ensure success of operations by scheduling and delegating tasks.

• Developed and controlled a training plan to increase personnel qualifications from .7 soldiers per position to 2.5 soldiers per position. Scheduled three to six specialty courses to run simultaneously in cycles and saved the government 10 – 35% per-course while increasing output since moving into the role.

• Collected statistics and collated reports to synthesize unified message for 600 personal to improve training. Communicated reports to superiors and higher headquarter in order to ensure quality and development.

Team Leader, Petawawa Ontario February / 2011 – April / 2012

Led a team of 35 soldiers and non-commissioned officers during a challenging reconstitution phase. Coordinated all operations, administered soldiers, and facilitated all training conducted by an infantry platoon.

Accomplishments

• Led teams of up to 120 personnel successfully through national and international projects to achieve national interests.

• Hand selected to organize events for Government Ministers, General Officers, and other VIPs including a designer of the Canadian Flag in order to promote national unity and raise the profile of the CF.

• Participated in multinational exercises, including working for Brigade North for one month in Norway with 15 other nations. Successfully integrated and coordinated with Canadian and foreign organizations.

• Assisted in developing training plan for Canada’s involvement in Libya under an exceptionally short time-line. All soldiers confirmed through this inaugural training successfully defended national interests and returned safely from the mission.

• Scheduled and executed a variety of training events to reorient soldiers towards future international deployments. Delegated and oversaw individual and collective training to increase soldier readiness and build upon success achieved in Afghanistan.
