• As a member of ASIC group, Redesigned AxSYM Optics regulator board PWM (pulse width modulator) circuitry. Used Verilog HDL, Analog work bench and Schematic Capture towards testing and verification of FPGA/CPLD (Altera) based design.
• Re-Designed linear flash memory card (Flash translation layer), modified OSP processor PCB using A/D, D/A, Demultiplexers and resolved obsolescence for PPC instruments. (cost saving 51%, $162M per year).
• Interfaced with Perkin Elmer and "NERA" (Singapore) towards design transfer (Gerber files) of thermocycler controller, as well as resolved various process related issues.
• Analyzed and resolved reliability issue (Closed loop - gain) with stepper driver board circuitry for Prism instrument.
• Analyzed hardware specification and wrote assembly code (intel- RMx) avoiding potential production shutdown.
• Developed Optical grating calibration software using Lab View 6.0 and Visual C++ for aligning optical grating modules in Clinical chemistry instruments resulting a 40 % reduction in cycle time.

• Defined SCSI firmware (when hard drive OEM failed to provide custom solution) for SCSI bus and released Hex code for IBM Corporation to supply customized SCSI hard drive for AxSYM instrument. (Resolved obsolescence and provided cost savings of 28%).
• Developed common hardware platform using off shelf PC components to support multiple Operating Systems (UNIX, iRMx, SCO and Windows NT/2000) to interface with Clinical chemistry series instruments. (Resolved PC Obsolescence and 32% cost savings).
• Re-engineered RS-232 protocol (when Scanner OEM failed to provide solution) and defined scanner configuration for medical diagnostic instruments. (IMx, FLx and TDx, Resolved barcode scanner obsolescence and cost savings of 52%).
• Developed software diagnostic tool (manufacturing automation systems analyzer, MAXA) for manufacturing floor by porting UNIX code to PC environment, which helped yield ratio from 32 % to 85 %.
