OBJECTIVE
Position as service electrician for an established electrical contractor or maintenance firm.
BACKGROUND SUMMARY
23+ years of experience in the electrical field. Seven of these years in supervising,
estimating, mid-size project management, and working foreman capacities.
TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
• Construction: Worked as a licensed electrician on many new and remodel projects.
Typical installations involved new conduits, feeders/branch conductors, indoor lighting,
site lighting, wiring devices, main switchgear, panelboards, emergency power systems,
low voltage systems, some h.v.a.c. systems, disconnects and related work.
• Troubleshooting: Performed troubleshooting for equipment shutdown, general
purpose circuits, moderate control circuits, switchgear, and variety of similar
problems. Repaired and replaced defective wiring or devices as required. Most
troubleshooting performed was independently completed on my own.
• Service: Performed several duties as service electrician with company service truck,
on call for emergencies, and aerial bucket truck pole lighting maintenance. Responsible
for heading up service work prior to supervising service department.
• General: Installed and serviced many multi-purpose electrical systems for
manufacturing and office renovations including devices, lighting, branch conduit
feeder/branch wiring, transformers, phone & data outlets, etc. Directly supervised
electrical apprentice working with me on job. Laptop use & experience with various
MS Office programs, working knowledge of other software. Customer service oriented,
good with follow-up, recommending upgrades and solutions to electrical systems.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
• Service Manager: Supervision of 9 person service department including invoicing,
material ordering, tool inventory, and daily service department operations. Also
responsible for training of service personnel, customer relations on the job site, and
providing back-up solutions for field technicians. Expanded service division to nine
full-time employees and six company service vehicles. In charge of meeting with many
electrical inspectors, and confirming that the job was complete to code standards.
• Experienced in design build projects, service related accounts, and customer sales
relationships. Computer enhanced estimating with computer estimation systems and
conventional takeoff methods. Familiar with electrical sub-contracting services.
