MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITIES
1. Access Control:
------Responsible for maintained access control over the designated post.
Responsible for screened visitors and guests using walk through and hand held metal detectors.
------Vehicle Access: Controlled vehicle access in accordance with the security procedures at the designated post. This includes using screening mirrors and flashlights.
Explosive material detection: Sampled of approved vehicles & materials with the Itemiser, Explosive Trace Detection machine.
Reported all suspicions finding to the Local Guard Program (LGP) chief and Regional Security Office (RSO).
2. Conducted personnel screening and package inspections with the post`s specific guard orders.
-----Used various security –screening equipments, such as the Itemiser Explosive Trace Detectors, X –ray Machines and Mail Bomb Detectors, which require specialized training.
------Monitored radio traffic and working in close conjunction with security dispatcher to ensure that a clear and updated line of communication is established with the Shift Supervisor.
-----Inspected and logs visitors, vehicles and packages at their designated posts.
3. Maintained logbooks and responsible for preparing written reports any unusual situations or anomalies on post through the chain of command and submits them to the Guard Supervisor of the area of designation.
4. Responded to Emergency Situations:
-----Responded to bomb Threats and Fire Alarms in accordance with RSO/LGP`s Emergency Situation Plans various posts.
-----Maintained observations to initiate emergency responses to possible attack recognition; acts as necessary to safeguard life and property using judgment at emergency situations to activate the post`s IDNS (Interim Danger Notification system) to insure that mission employees are warned to take cover in case of an imminent threat.
----Reported all observations of possible surveillance activity around the post .
-----May served as a first responder to provide assistance during a chemical/biological attack to Embassy personnel.
-----Assist in the decontamination process for Embassy personnel.

Patrolled continuously the perimeters of the embassy.
• Controlled the entrances to embassy ensuring only authorized staff and guests gain access;
