• Knowledge of filter designing, sampling, different types of transformation techniques.

• Good understanding of Probability theory and Random Processes and its Applications.

• Good communication and time management skills, good analytical and problem solving abilities, self motivated, punctual, open minded, team player, eager to learn new things.

SKILLS

• Protocols: GSM, UMTS WCDMA, TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, FTP, Bluetooth.

• Excellent project work experience in C, C++, MATLAB and Wireshark.

• Microprocessors/controllers: 8085, 80386, 8051, 80C196, PIC18F4620.

• Operating systems worked with are Windows 9x/NT/XP, UNIX.

EDUCATION

• Master of Science in Electrical Engineering , GPA -3.67

The University of Texas at Arlington, Texas Aug 2007-Dec 2009

• Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunications, GPA-3.6

Mumbai (Bombay) University, Mumbai, India June 2003- May 2007

EXPERIENCE

• Graduate Teaching Assistant, University of Texas at Arlington.

Courses: Wireless Communication (Fall’08 and Spring’09), Fundamentals of Telecommunication Systems (Spring’08)

Responsibilities: Helped students in the queries related to Wireless communication, assignment and exam papers evaluation, conducting review classes before exam.

PROJECTS

• Advanced Wireless Communication: Simulated a MIMO physical layer communication system using space time coding and decoding and comparing performance for BPSK and QPSK.

• Embedded Microcontroller Systems: Built hardware and software for a bi-directional communication system between a PC and a slave controller. Hardware consisted of RS232,75ALS180 and PIC18F4620. It consisted of two circuits, a voltage level converter and controller circuit driving peripherals.

• Wireless Communications: Designed a simulation reference system for physical layer in MATLAB with QPSK modulation where channel is subject to Rician flat fading, and also designed a demodulator for this channel.

• Information Theory and Coding: Evaluated and performed rate v/s power control for IS-95 and CDMA 2000. Rician fading channel was used with Doppler shift 100Hz. Evaluation was performed based on three schemes – Channel inversion for IS-95, equal power allocation for CDMA 2000 and Waterfilling for CDMA 2000.

• Digital Communications: Designed a digital communication system using MATLAB and compared the performance with and without channel encoding.

• Computer Networks: Developed a small web proxy server in JAVA which is able to understand simple GET-requests and handle all kinds of objects including HTML pages and images.

• Digital Image Processing: Projects related to Image Quantization, Image Enhancement and Reconstruction and Image data compression using MATLAB.

• Random Signals and Noise: Applications of Random Variables and Processes to model a video signal and verify its behavior using MATLAB.
