EXPERIENCE:
I’m currently employed part-time as an administrative
assistant in Denver. Three summers ago, I taught a class on the
use of truth and fiction in autobiography at Colorado Free University, which position I took just after concluding my internship at independent online station ManiaTV, where each day I composed another fictional episode that linked to their site from MySpace. I was a telephone market research interviewer for two and a half years before that, and worked as an office assistant off-and-on through this period, where my duties included xeroxing, collating, and general office upkeep. Throughout the nineties, I hosted several ongoing spoken word readings and art-events in coffee shops and galleries around Metro Denver, and have aided Mrs. Jana Clark of the Denver School of the Arts in teaching creative writing to her students and auditioning them for admission to the Language Arts program, most recently in 2006. For several months, I served as editor of Mary R. Crane’s weekly blog entries at www.marycrane.com .
I’m currently co-editing, assembling and publishing an irregular journal of quantum thought called THE GUT, and seeking publication for a couple of novels while completing another two or three.
EDUCATION:
Vermont College of Fine Arts
MFA in Writing (Fiction)
Montpelier,VT January 2008
Vermont College
BA in Fine Arts
Montpelier, VT November 2004
I just received the M.F.A. in Writing diploma from Vermont
College of Fine Arts in Montpelier, Vermont. During my time in this program, I completed a critical thesis on American author Nathanael West and just delivered a lecture on do it yourself resources available to today’s marginalized creative writer.
In the course of my undergrad studies, I investigated English literature, transformative art, the concept of divinity in fiction, visual symbolism, and the mutability of truth and fiction in autobiography.
