Job Description:

I was also able to obtain the no objection from the management of my company to put my Islamic banking and finance knowledge for training purposes through EBIFS which not only gave me satisfaction but also benefitted me in terms of overall growth of my personality and also enriched me with deeper understanding of Islamic Banking Concepts.
Experiences gained from my previous assignment at bank about operations and also due to my heavy interaction with banking fraternity due to my current job profile has helped me in conducting number of training programs for not only students but also for staff of various banks.
Core Responsibilities Included:
• Taking courses in Islamic Banking such as Islamic Banking Product and Services, Comparative Financial Institutions ,Islamic Capital Market and Takaful
• Developing course module and setting up examination question papers, quizzes etc.
• Liaising with course leader and administrators for smooth conduct of classes.
Achievements:
• Conducted exhaustive training sessions for diversified group of individuals mostly involving senior banker, middle level and trainees from many Islamic and traditional banks in UAE in areas such as Islamic Products and Services, Islamic Capital Market and Asset management, Islamic Project Finance and Risk Management (Certificates provided by EBIFS).
• Have also conducted in-house training for Islamic banks’ staff especially for those who are appearing in Islamic Finance Qualification (IFQ), a qualification that covers Islamic finance from both a technical and Shari’a perspective. The IFQ was launched in 2006 as an initiative between the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) UK and Ecole superieure des Affaires in Beirut.
• Conducted and Organized seminar for raising awareness among students about currents practice and future of Islamic finance at various universities such as Al Ghurair, Preston etc.

Apart from above I have also launched Islamic Banking and training program in one of the university in UAE. This could be analogous to Project management where I proposed to them idea of conducting short Islamic banking and finance training for their students on weekends and in evenings. The program was well received by all and we had just finished the first batch and on verge of starting a new one.

• Launching and conducting Islamic banking and finance training program at Preston university campus for students and other Financial Institution members.
• Preparing course content, course duration, lecturer profile and delivery schedule for the program.
• Creating awareness about program through brochure, flyers and presentations.
• Liaising with different department heads at university and training heads of various banks for enrollment purpose.
