JAN 12 – Present IT Site Lead (Contract) Kore Federal (IBM Subcontractor), Heart, AFG

The role is in support of US DoD Task Force for Business and Stability Operation (TFBSO) in the western province of Heart, Afghanistan. TFBSO is initiating projects in the information technology sector, which is an institutional strength of Heart’s local universities and Heart’s economy. To fulfill the TFBSO missions, the main responsibilities are as follow;

• Provide technical guidance for directing and monitoring information systems operations. Design, build, and implement network systems

• Direct compilation of records and reports concerning network operations and maintenance, troubleshoot network performance issues. Analyze network traffic and provide capacity planning solutions

• Interface with vendor support service groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance

• Manage the purchase, testing, installation, and support of network communications, including LAN/MAN/WAN systems

• Perform system-level design and configuration of products including determination of hardware, OS, and other platform specifications

• Plan large-scale systems projects through vendor comparison and cost studies

The role was in support of Enduring Communications Fiber Project (ECFP) under the supervision of United States Forces – Iraq (USF-I) Forces. Managed to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget up to $16M. This included acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members (20+) and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Lead role also defined the projects’ objectives and oversaw quality control throughout its life cycle;

DEC 10-JUL 11 Network Project Site Lead (Contract) OCCAM Solutions, Kabul, AFG

This role was in support of Senior Engineers Technical Advisors (SETA) Program with NATO Training Mission- Afghanistan (NTM-A) Coalition Forces and Afghan Ministry of Defense (MOD) to develop and enhance their communication systems by implementing Fiber Optic Infrastructure and backbone solutions for their Military Bases/Camps (50+) throughout the country;

• Managed to provide full life cycle support of IT project management with budgets up to $6.5M and provided overall leadership and guidance to a team of 30+ IT professionals (including 22 contractors) with direct supervision of 8
