Experience

Level3 postscript files: Created a web program that read a postscript invoice file and made modifications to the file to get the desired output on the printer.

Used Visual C#.NET

Responsibilities: Added postscript commands to the invoice file through code for the file to print on different paper types, create simplex and duplex pages, modified the file so that it printed only one invoice summary page per invoice, split the file into separate files based on the number of pages per invoice, added OMR marks to the pages for grouping, created report files giving a count of pages and total invoices.

EBPP and Webview changes: Updated existing .Net applications to add password security changes.

Used Visual Basic.NET, SQL Server 2000, asp.

Responsibilities: Added password rules such as they needed to be a certain

combination of letters, numbers and characters, they had to be a specific

length, password expiration period, maximum 12 new passwords can be

stored in history.

Arbor and Focal files: Create a web program to read tab separated files and split them into separate files based on the invoice tag, had a routine to send emails to the client and also FTP files.

Bundle Report: Created a web program that generated a report format output. The report grouped the names with the same address so that they went in the same envelope

Projects at Oakland Schools: (Jan 2001 – Aug 2007)

AV Billing: Was part of the design and development team for a web application that converted a paper based system to a web based system. System maintained information about school districts/in-house work orders, work order details, generated invoices at the end of the month and generated reports. Used Visual Basic.NET, database was created using SQL Server 2000 and Dynamic PDF Generator was used to create reports.

Responsibilities: Created maintenance pages (school, inventory, district etc), work order page for districts and also worked on the Invoice module which involved creating text files using vb.net which was uploaded to a finance system. Created Invoice reports using Dynamic pdf generator. Also maintained the application and made enhancements as and when required. Wrote queries and stored procedures in SQL Server 2000.

Medicaid Billing: Created an export interface that generates a student detail text file. File is uploaded to a Medicaid Eligibility site. Also created an import interface that read Medicaid Eligibility information for students from the text file and updated the database. Used Visual Basic.Net, database was in FoxPro 8.0

Responsibilities: Created the export and Import interfaces. Also maintained the application. Wrote queries in FoxPro 8.0.

Time Entry: Modified an existing .net application and added maintenance page to the application. Application was used by departments within Oakland Schools to entry their work for each week. Application had an admin interface that was used to add/modify projects and what managers, categories, districts and members are tied to them and a maintenance page to maintain categories, managers, users, department groups. Used Visual Basic.Net, database was in SQL Server 2000.

Responsibilities: Modified existing pages in the application, added a maintenance page. Modified existing stored procedures in SQL Server 2000.

Scope: Was used to maintain all the information related to a course, displayed a sample curriculum. Application contained course setup page that was used to add a course, add units to that course and add lessons to that unit, a search page and course, unit and lesson detail pages. Used Visual Basic.Net, database was in SQL Server 2000.

Responsibilities: Was involved in the analysis and initial design. Coded and tested pages in vb.net. Modified stored procedures in SQL Server 2000.

Ready Desk: Made enhancements to an existing ASP application used by Helpdesk to assign tickets to assignees, also has a customer interface for users to create their own tickets and send them to Helpdesk instead of calling.

Responsibilities: Enhanced and tested ASP pages and was also responsible for the production move of the application.

Point Of Sale: This system enabled entering job orders, job details like material and labor information, created monthly invoices and custom reports. Used Visual Basic 6.0 and Access 2000 for the database and reports

Responsibilities: Created new and modified existing pages. Monthly invoices created text files which were uploaded into a Finance system. Maintained the application as well.

Created interfaces in Visual Basic 6.0 to transfer data from a SQL database to Access 2000 tables on a monthly basis, read and make changes to text files, data entry screens to update Access tables.

Budget Planning: Was developed for internal departments to enter their budget information for next year at the end of this fiscal year. Designed the system and developed it in Access 2000 and also created reports.

Special Education: Application was for a department internal at Oakland Schools. System kept track of Special Ed student information and their detailed referral information. Designed the system and developed it in Access 2000 and developed reports.

Support web application used by school districts. Troubleshoot problems with ASP pages/Dynamic PDF reports. Make enhancements to the applications as and when required. Used SQL Server 2000 to create queries and store procedures for the web applications. Also supported a few client/server applications. Created Infomaker-7 and Crystal Reports 10 reports.
