Objective:

I have recently relocated back to the Miami area from Stowe, Vermont and I am currently looking for a position as a connectivity engineer or similar position in the South Florida area. I have 6 years of experience working as a copier repair technician and am very interested in working on the connectivity side of the business. I have a basic understanding and would like make this as my career choice going forward. My former employer, SymQuest Group Inc. in Burlington, Vermont started training us field technicians as hybrid techs training in connectivity but my turn had not come up before moving back to Florida. I am very interested in continuing with this direction and wanting an opportunity to show my next employer they have made a good choice in hiring and training me further, I look forward to hearing from you if any future positions come available. • Over 6 years of experience and training in the repair and upgrading of multifunction equipment that includes copiers, printers and fax machines.

• Maintained a territory that consisted of over 700 machines both black & white as well as color, all of which were spread out over an area of 13 towns in Central Vermont. Approximate monthly mileage traveled about 1200 miles. Some clients included were banks, schools, hospitals, government offices and resorts.

• Trouble-shot and resolved issues on site and ordered parts when needed. Maintained an organized car stock of commonly used parts to suit the needs of the territory.

• Good basic knowledge of print drivers, firmware upgrades and connectivity, and installation of new machines.

• Able to effectively prioritize and respond to incoming service calls by communicating with customers to get that sense of urgency and nature of the call. Skilled at diagnosing telephone resolutions. Most service calls had a 4 hour response time.

• Accurately documented service log notes as well as tech in and tech out by email.

• Successful in completing self study modules and attending classroom training with certified instructors. Earned numerous certifications on Canon, HP and Kyocera devices all of which can be supplied upon request.
