At ATC, I was a dispatcher for short while. I was in charge of 50 trucks going out of Laredo and helped other dispatchers keep trucks on the road at a minimum of 3000 miles per week. I kept inventory of all loads pending pick up and be marked delivered when a driver calls to ask for the next load. I kept other reports up to date for customers and upper management. I also installed GPS systems on new trucks and updated trucks without the system.

LTL Logistics Coordinator
As a logistics coordinator, I learned a different avenue of the Transportation Industry. I learned that customer service is a key role with Unishippers Laredo. At Unishippers, I would create bill of lading for LTL pick ups. I supported other fellow employees in price quotes for customers and found the most economical form of transportation. In the end, I was to upload signed delivery confirmations in the system and close the load with total charges. I also followed a strict monthly schedule for billing, as each customer needed their invoices at specific dates in the month.

Part of the logistics group was to provide customer service for the intermodal department. Responsibilities ranged from accounting, intermodal equipment inventories, and contracts management.
