Coordinate with the various departments to make sure that each dept is available to pick up their payroll checks.
FRIENDSHIP MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH (6/08 – Present)
Summer Camp Teacher / Trustee
Responsibilities included teaching children from ages three to six years old. Making sure that they learn their alphabets and their adding and subtracting. Play games, read them a story, as well as make sure that they are fed before going home. Coordinate activities for the children. Created the newsletter for the church, and coordinate events for the education dept of the church.

Senior Payroll Specialist
Duties include calling various corporations to have their payroll dictated over the phone to put into the system. Also have the power of attorney to handle any IRS or other tax agency issues clients may have, in which a letter of explanation along with recalculation would resolve. Create all quarter-end, and year-end reports, as well as handle all client’s employee W-2/W-3 records. In addition I am also the Branch Trainer in which I train on any new or old developments in the company. Keeping all the employees updated on the changes within the organization. As well as being the branch Motivation Administrator, in which I keep the branch morale up so employees are looking forward to come to work. I also do the event planning for the company parties and picnics. Assist in coordinating the events such as holiday parties and meetings at the branch.
ENTERTAINMENT COMPANIES (9/95 – 9/05)
Freelance Payroll Accountant
Responsibilities include calculating timecards for both Crew and Actors for various production companies and studios regardless of location. Verify in-and-out times of all employees against a production report. Having an organized filing system, as well as making sure that all the authorized signatures is on all documents. Sign off on all I-9, and Start forms, and verify that all appropriate identifications are given. Send in payroll to the various payroll services, and check any audits that are returned. Verify that all invoices have the correct fringes information, after all information is downloaded into the computer. The reports are then given to the Key Accountant for verification and approval, and ready to be posted to accounts payable. Depending on the studio and production company, location check printing will be done in which checks are printed on premises. At this point they will be folded and stuffed into envelopes, and then distributed on set at various locations of shooting the film. If there were any disputes, they would be handled in a professional manor, and adjusted the next week. At various times my assistance would be needed with accounts payable and receivable.
