Client: Wal-Mart US Inc. - USA Domain: Retail e-Commerce

Description: Development of Grocery e-Commerce website for Walmart’s existing US business walmart.com on the MTEP architectural model. This project is strategic initiative from WalMart to test the home delivery of Grocery products in US and expand all over the country over a period of years. [Website: http://walmart.com/togo]

Responsibilities:

Performed activities like requirement collection, analysis & effort estimation.

Involved in High-Level design documentation of Data Warehouse systems.

Worked along with Product Management team & Client Engineering team in defining & providing solution approaches for the added US local business complexities to plug-in to the MTEP base model.

Lead the ETL track in all the phases of design, implementation and system testing.

Worked with project management in capacity & project planning for delivering the modules. Attended project meetings and provided weekly status reports, Bug status reports, etc.

Created Informatica repositories for all the environments. Performed role of Informatica administrator.

Performed Code deployment activities and ensured that there are no mistakes in deployment of code.

Coordinated with offshore teams and third-party/external systems in system & integration testing.

Created UNIX shell script for running the job using CA7 scheduler.

Reporting tool used for this project was OBIEE. Trained business users and provided system demo to the customer & business team on report usage and its functionalities.

Project: MTEP (Multi Tenant e-Commerce Platform) – Development:

Role: Developer Duration: 14 months (Mar 08 – Apr 09)

Client: Wal-Mart US Inc – ASDA UK Domain: Retail e-Commerce

Description: Development of MTEP-Multi Tenant e-Commerce Platform for largest retailer in the world Wal-Mart US Inc. The project involves development and testing of one of Wal-Mart Application systems that will be integrated with MTEP. The project also involves implementing the Data warehouse to support its reporting needs. The data needs to be extracted from various OLTP systems that are fed by various e-commerce applications. The data warehouse that is going to be implemented will be acting as a single source of the reporting environment. The goal of the new reporting environment is to provide a single source of information for all corporate reporting needs and reduce the manual effort required to as low as possible.. Responsibilities:

Contributed as a lead Informatica ETL designer and developer.

Involved in gathering and analyzing business requirements.

Involved in technical design of mappings, sessions and workflows

Involved in creation of unit test cases and testing the same.

Involved in creation of UNIX based job writing and Shell scripting

Migration of the Informatica Repository to a new production server.
