I carried out complex or novel research assignments in relation to seat comfort. I conducted and monitored research studies and test used for data collection and analyst purposes, I collected most of the data and inserted the data in a data base for analytical purposes. I researched the feasibility, design, operation and performance of equipment, components and systems related to seat comfort. I worked in collecting the input data and criteria for the development of the software that was being creating to pre-predict the comfort of any type of seat one can design.
Summer Intern
May 2004 to August 2006
Whirlpool Corp. – La Vergne, TN
At Whirlpool I was a Project/Process Engineer. I utilized effective management and communication skills. I completed time and process studies in the field on the plant floor that eliminated need to hire new team members and assigned dual roles in operations and processes, this saved time and cost on the production line. I was a part of a team where I monitored and helped on the install of a new production and assembly machine that was outsourced to a vendor on the production line. I was responsible for balancing multiple projects throughout the summers while working under a project engineer. I also held team meetings and stepped in to lead and carry out projects for my advisor when away on vacation and business trips.
