I was one of two technicians in an area from Fort Wayne to the East and Michigan City to the West and as far South as Rochester and North to St. Joe/Benton Harbor. We were responsible for servicing and repairing over 1100 office machines including copy machines, fax machines, and printers. I also was in charge of my own car stock inventory. I was also asked to network the printers at customer sites which I did with minimal phone support from our IT department. I was also expected to receive ongoing training through our different manufacturers at their training facilities. I routinely had to read schematics, technical publications, research problems through manufacterers data base, and read parts diagrams. I also interacted with customers on a daily basis in person and on the telephone.
