WORKING EXPERIENCE

A] I am working as Process Consultant in M/s Alfalaval India Limited, Pune, Maharastra,

from January 2010 to still now.

1. Commissioned and trouble shouted the 45 KLPD EQRS plant (Extra Quality Rectified Spirit) in molasses as raw material.

2. Commissioned and trouble shouted the 65 KLPD ENA plant (Extra Neutral Alcohol) in molasses as raw material.

3. Trouble shouted the fermentation section and achieved 8.5 to 9.2% alcohol content in Fermented wash.

B] I was worked as Manager Process for 100 KLPD Wash to Absolute Alcohol Distillery plant with three stage evaporation systems in Thai Sugar Ethanol Company Limited, Bangkok, Thailand from July 2007 to December 2009.

1. Pre-commissioning and Commissioned of 100 KLPD fuel ethanol plant.

2. Monitoring and operating both batch and continuous fermentation.

3. Troubles shoot the multistage Flubex evaporation system.

4. Glucose syrup and molasses mixed fermentation system carried out and set the design parameters.

5. Odor control and aerobic treatment of spent lees designed.

6. Liquefaction and Saccharification plant design finalized.

7. Biogas and Bio-compost plant commissioned and trouble shoot the plant.

8. Constant quality and quantity achieved the above plant design.

9. Fermentation alcohol percent achieved more than 10% in Glucose Syrup and Molasses mixed feed. And Alcohol percent achieved more than 9% in molasses alone as raw material feed in fermentation.

C] I was worked as Executive in M/s Praj Industries Ltd., Pune from January 2005 to June 2007 and commissioned the following plants.

1. M/s Ingineo Providencia, Colombia, South America. Commissioned of 250 KLPD wash to Absolute Alcohol plant with multi pressure and Five stage Evaporation systems.

2. M/s Ingineo Mayaguez, Cali, Colombia, South America. Commissioned of 150 KLPD wash to Absolute Alcohol plant with multi pressure and Single stage Evaporation system.

3. M/s Shakumbari Sugars and Distillery Ltd., Saharanpur, Utter Pradesh. Commissioned of 40 KLPD wash to ENA with multi pressure distillation process distillery plant and biogas plant.

4. M/s Sagar Sugar and Allied Chemicals Ltd, Chittoor, Andra Pradesh. Commissioned of 60 KLPD wash to ENA with multi pressure distillation process distillery plant.

5. M/s HSB Agro Industries Ltd, Jaipur, Rajasthan. Commissioned of 32 KLPD Grain based Distillery plant. Liquification, Saccharification, Fermentation and followed distillation was done.

6. M/s Trichy Distillery and Chemicals Ltd, Trichy, Tamilnadu. Designed, Erection and commissioned of 60 KLPD biogas plant.

7. M/s Spy Agro Industries Ltd., Andra Pradesh. Commissioned 80 KLPD Cassava and Grain Based distillery plant.

D] I was worked at M/s Southern Agrifurane Industries Ltd., as Microbiologist in the following plants from March 2000 to December 2004.

1. Rectified Spirit and Neutral Alcohol plant with continuous fermentation based on cane sugar molasses.

2. Effluent Treatment Plant consisting Methane Production in Anaerobic and Aerobic Treatment.

3. Production of Organic manure (Bio-Compost) based on sugar factory filter cake (Pressmud) with distillery effluent by using microbial culture.

4. To reduce the spent wash generation from distillery plant by part of raw spent wash recycles to the fermentation process.

5. To studied and developed the new strain for methanization process to production and purification of methane gas from spent wash and poultry waste.

6. Isolated the potent Nitrogen fixing microorganism from soil and various substrate and produce effective Biofertilizer.

Having repute experience in both Atmospheric and Multi pressure distillation process.

Good experience in various type of fermentation process like Cassava, Grain Starch and Molasses based raw material for alcohol production, biogas production and their trouble shooting.

Well exposure of international working experience in distillery plant operation.

Having experience in operation of PLC and DCS based distillery plant.

In addition, knowledge of culture preservation and multiplication from lab stage to commercial scale up for Biocompost and Biogas production.

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

Title: Biochemistry and Genetics of Novel Secondary Metabolite producing Streptomyces sps.

Abstract: The investigation dealt with the isolation of Streptomyces sps and to screen for its ability to produce active secondary metabolites. Out of 100 isolates23 isolates were found to be potent producer of Antibiotics. Their ability was checked in various chemically defined media to produce active metabolites. All the isolates were screened for their inhibitory effect towards E.coli and S.aureus. of them five were found to be highly potent and inhibitory towards the test organism. Based on the zone of inhibition and culture media the isolate Streptomyces (Str 2) was taken for further study. The isolate Str2 was then mutated by both physical and chemical mutagenesis. The isolates ability to produce an increased yield of antibiotic after mutagenesis revealed that treatment with NTG was encouraging as the yield of active metabolites was more than the wild type isolate.
