Alcatel, VP Architecture & Engineering, IPTV 2004-2006

Reporting to the SVP of Integrated Services Division. Serving in a role as head of the Architecture and Engineering Team

to perform System Integrations for Alcatel. Alcatel is the sole integrator of the Microsoft IPTV platform. Involved in all

aspects of business to include Business Development, Sales, Architecture, Engineering, Installation and Operation.

marketing efforts.

Oversaw a large department in the US, EU, UK and Japan comprised of various engineering, software development, and

build disciplines. Supervised third level ATM/FR/IP and Optical Transmission operations teams. Led the continuous

development and support of software packages used in customer billing, customer reporting, and marketing information.

Served as the technical architect of the C&W global network, one of the largest Internet networks in service today,

encompassing systems, optical transmission, procedures, and topology. Recognized as an innovator by upper

management; was able to steer the business in new and profitable ways.

MCI, Senior Manager and Senior Engineer 1994-1998

Directed engineers in the design and implementation of the Internet MCI backbone network during a period of explosive

growth (OC-3 to OC-48). Designed and led the development of a number of software packages for in-house use, as well

as for public release. Collaborated with MCI marketing staff to develop and market new and existing products. .

The National Institute of Health, Infrastructure Engineer 1989-1994

Served as part of a four-member team responsible for the campus medical research network. Held individual responsibility

for designing and implementing large networks within new construction on campus; completed the IT infrastructure in all of

the new buildings constructed on campus, on time, and within budget. Received a Director’s Award in 1994.
