Currently associated with Cognizant Technology Solutions, Kolkata as Programmer Analyst working for client Cambridge University Press in production support and development.
Initially trained by Cognizant in .NET Framework but eventually moved to business floor as a PHP Developer with subsequent on-job trainings. Started working for the application Cambridge Learning Management System (built on DRUPAL-PHP platform) right from the inception of the project in Cognizant.
The application was previously developed by Arizona State University students and lacked professional expertise and finesse with a handsome number of bugs and defects. I was associated with the support team for the first 6months where I played a vital role in clearing the bugs of the system according to short-term and long term goals of management. We also provided 24x7 production support for major technical breakdowns.
On attaining stability of the system, Management moved me to development team where we initiated a major technical re-architecture and re-design according to the desire of the client. Our re-engineering of the system included writing efficient and optimized PHP Modules for Drupal, re-devolping different section of the application, optimizing the database load.
Concurrently worked with the team of Business Analysts and Consultants in establishing business logistics and preparing Use-case, functionality and future scope plans and documents.
