09/2005-07/2009 Gujarat Themis Biosyn Ltd, Vapi, Gujarat, India

Instrumentation Engineer Officer.

The company is a Pharma Division of Themis Group manufacturing & marketing of toluene based bulk drugs. It is FERMENTATION base continuous process. It has production of Lovastatin crude and then final product is Nitrogen based Simvastatin Ammonium Salt (S.A.S.)

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for Instrumentation and Control parameters such as Flow, Temperature, Pressure and Level of the plant.

• Responsible for Perfect calibration and working of various pressure gauges, vacuum gauges

And compound gauges.

• Responsible for smooth operation of control valves.

• Smooth operation of Distributed Control System of the Plant.

• Calibration, troubleshooting and maintenance of Thermo-Fisher Incubators, Freezers,

Mettler-Toledo and other Lab Balances.

• Responsible for calibration under G.M.P. area.

• Calibration and preventive maintenance of Life safety devices (CCD) LEL, O2 and CO2 sensors.

• Keep in track with Metrology standard instruments for calibration.

• Keep in records with vendor contract service.

• Handling various types of analytical instruments like Schimadzu make HPLC-1OAT, 1601-UV VISIBLE SPECTROPHOTOMETER, PH METER, KARL-FISHER, and LAB BALANCE.

• Identifying and purchase of control instruments.

• Planning & scheduling of day maintenance activities as per previous & present history.

• Attend break down maintenance problems in co-ordination with mechanics and technicians.

• Done the circuit board repairing, components change and soldering.

• Keep track of preventive maintenance done as per G.M.P., S.O.P, US FDA and W.H.O. Specifications.

• Documentation & maintain record of daily & routine maintenance activities as per norms.

• Check, test newly purchased instruments.

• Newly project related erection, commissioning, and modification of the instrumentation systems and keep track with contract persons and erection /commissioning engineers.

EXTRA ACTIVITIES AND ACHIEVEMENTS:

• Attended a Workshop on Aero modeling Technology at IIT Powai, Mumbai during Tech fest 2004.

• Done projects, seminars and presentation on various study topics at College level.

• Participated in Many inter school and inter college competition, Industrial visit with esteemed

organization like O.N.G.C. & SICART.

• Done Instrumentation training in Oil & Gas Refinery.
