Overview
Project Manager/Engineer with ** years of experience in the management and design of all phases of highway projects. Work experience includes the successful completion of roadway and bridge projects in Georgia and Wisconsin that include a wide spectrum of design ranging from interchange reconstruction, interstate widenings, rural widenings, urban arterials and intersection improvements. These projects have all presented unique challenges and entailed the exploration of several design alternatives. Coordination with Departments of Transportation, The US Army Corps of Engineers and other clients as well as managing subconsultants was required on all of the projects. Roadway design experience includes the use of Microstation, InRoads, Geopak, Primavera and several hydraulic software packages. Certified for erosion and sediment control design by the Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission.
Previous co-owner of J.B. Trimble, Inc. During 10 years of ownership, served as the company’s operating officer and head of the roadway department. Oversaw the growth of the company from 5 to 40 employees with net revenues of $5 million/year at the time of its sale to Hatch Mott MacDonald in 2008.

J.B. Trimble/Hatch Mott MacDonald (1998-Present)
Training Area Roads, US Army Corps of Engineers – Savannah District, Fort Benning, GA
Project manager for the planning, surveying, design, estimating, and permitting services for the Training Area Roads located within the boundaries of Ft. Benning. The Training Area Roads were required to facilitate Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) activities of the U.S. Army. The project included 26 miles of 24-foot wide Heavy Duty Concrete Road for the movement of tanks on Heavy Equipment Trailers (HET) between firing ranges. Additionally, 6 miles of asphalt Range Road and 6 miles of aggregate surface Boundary Road were required. The project required 5 short to medium span bridges, several reinforced concrete box culverts and bottomless arch culverts and over 100 pipe culvert crossings.
I-95 between SR 25 and SR 99, Georgia DOT, McIntosh County, GA
Project manager for the widening of I-95 between SR 25 and SR 99 in McIntosh County for the Georgia Dept. of Transportation. Scope of project consisted of widening the four lane roadway to six lanes with grading for ultimate eight lane condition. Design work included geometric layout, drainage design, construction staging, signing & marking plans, ATMS plans, quantities and cost estimate.
SR 133, Georgia DOT, Colquitt/Worth/Dougherty Counties, GA
Project manager for the widening of SR 133 between Moultrie and Albany in Colquitt/Worth/Dougherty Counties for the Georgia Dept. of Transportation. Scope of project consisted of widening of 33 miles of two lane roadway to four lanes. Design work includes including geometric layout, drainage design, construction staging, signing & marking plans, quantities and cost estimate. The entire corridor is divided into four separate construction contracts.
I-85 between I-185 and Forrest Road, R.K. Shah & Associates, Troup and Meriwether Counties, GA
Project manager for the widening of I-85 between I-185 and Forrest Road in Troup and Meriwether Counties. Hatch Mott MacDonald was a subconsultant to R.K. Shah for this project for the Georgia Dept. of Transportation. Scope of project consisted of widening the four lane interstate roadway to six lanes and rehabilitating the existing lanes. Design work included geometric layout, cross sections, quantities and cost estimate.
I-75/I-575 Northwest Corridor, Bechtel Corp., Cobb/Cherokee Counties, GA
Project manager for the development of costing plans for the I-575 portion of the project. Design was for 13 miles of reversible lanes. Design work included geometric layout, drainage layouts and the design of several bridge widenings.
SR 74 from Just South of Crosstown Road NW to SR 54, Georgia DOT, Fayette County, GA
Project Manager for the widening of SR 74 in Peachtree City. Provided final design and plan production for 5 miles of urban widening. Project was completed in five months.
Big Bridge Task Order, Georgia DOT, Various Counties, GA
Project engineer responsible for the design of 16 bridge replacement work orders from concept development to construction. Projects included bridges replaced both on existing and new alignment.
East Hiram Parkway, Paulding County DOT, Paulding County, GA
Project Engineer for a new four lane raised median by-pass around the east side of the City of Hiram, GA. The roadway is three miles on new alignment and has a FEMA studied major creek crossing, a crossing over Norfolk-Southern RR, a crossing over the Silver Comet Trail (GDOT Right-of-Way) and an intersection at US-278.

Church Road, Cooper Lake Road and Ewing Bridge Replacements, Cobb County DOT, Cobb County, GA
Project engineer for the Church Road, Cooper Lake Road and Ewing Road bridge replacements for the Cobb County Department of Transportation. Responsible for all civil aspects of the projects, including geometrics, right-of-way plans, drainage, utility coordination and quantities.
Piedmont Olsen Hensley (1994 – 1997)
Chastain Meadows Parkway, Cobb County DOT, Cobb County, GA
Project manager for the Chastain Meadows Parkway for the Cobb County Department of Transportation. Project consisted of a one mile, four lane urban section with a raised median on new alignment. Project included wetland mitigation and FEMA coordination.
Sailors Parkway, Cobb County DOT, Cobb County, GA
Project engineer for the Powder Springs Parkway for the Cobb County Department of Transportation. Project consisted of a three mile, four lane urban section on new alignment. Project included coordination with the Corps of Engineers, SHPO and FEMA.
Epps Bridge Parkway, Georgia DOT, Athens/Clarke County, GA
Project engineer for the Epps Bridge Parkway in Athens for the Georgia Department of Transportation. Scope of work included R/W and final plans for two and a half miles of widening and reconstruction of an existing two lane facility into a four lane divided highway. Project also included an interchange with US 78.
SR 124 Widening, Georgia DOT, Gwinnett County, GA
Project engineer for SR 124 in Gwinnett County for the Georgia Department of Transportation. Project consisted of R/W and final plans for three and a half miles of roadway widening on existing alignment from a two lane to a four lane facility.
