Programming expertise in C and assembly for 8051, AVR, Atmel,PIC microcontrollers, DSP chips: Freescale (DSP5685x) and TI (TMS320VC5510).
Experience working with SPI and I2C connection protocols and Real-time DSP in developing audio applications and image processing algorithms along with proficiency in programming peripherals such as LCDs and Real-Time Clocks.
Education - Master of Science in Electrical Engineering Specialization in Digital Signal Processing and Communications Systems Academic projects involved working in the image classification, motion tracking (both using Intel’s Open Source Computer Vision library in C) and audio signature extraction (using MATLAB)fields.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Research Engineer (DSP)–Alaris, Inc., Scottsdale, AZ (October2009 – Present)
Developed a new signature verification device based on Rolls-Royce s acoustic based signature capture technology and programmed the microcontroller peripherals such as character and graphic LCDs and Real-Time clocks.
Programmed the firmware for the microcontroller C8051F340 along with developing a USB interface with the computer and working with peripheral connection protocols such as SPI, I2C, SMBUS.
Redesigned the C algorithm used for processing the data received from the microcontroller so as to improve its performance according to the present market needs.
Researched on various components that could be used in the final product so as to minimize the manufacturing cost and maximize performance.
Developing an application which will act as a user interface along with performing the user verification process according to a pre-developed algorithm.
Software Analyst –Verizon Data Services, India Pvt.Ltd.( July2007– December 2008)
Researched recurring errors with Verizon s online ordering applications and coordinated efforts with the development and design team to rectify them.
Identified the important test cases and devised an appropriate execution plan.
Prepared a Post Test Analysis report after carefully investigating the testing trends for the past three months which highlighted the areas of improvement for both the testing and the development team.
