Community Involvement
I am a registered volunteer leader for Girl Guides of Canada. I work with the senior units helping girls complete program work and fill community service needs.
I have been a volunteer Treasurer for the Girl Guides of Canada Pathfinder and Ranger units for the past 4 years. This includes handling account receivables, account payables, writing cheques, and keeping track of the unit finances on the computer.
I have been involved with the Kamloops Thompson Honour Choir (young singers ages 10 – 13), and served for 2 years as Secretary on the Board of Directors.
I was a volunteer for 3 years with the One to One Reading Program offered in South Sahali Elementary School.
Summary of Qualifications
One of my greatest strengths is that I love working with people. I have extensive experience working with the public and coordinating special projects. I have been involved in many continuing education courses in addition to the formal education I already have. I have excellent written and oral communication skills, computer skills and strong organization abilities.
