Tutored students before and after school. This tutoring service was offered through the California Scholarship federation at my high school, and was part of community service tasks. Tutored students in algebra, algebra 2, United States History, and in Spanish.

Intern, Office of Senator Alan Lowenthal, Long Beach, CA July 2009 - August 2009

Interned for state Senator Alan Lowenthal who represents most of Los Angeles County. Responsible for filing papers, made phone calls to potential and current constituents, and wrote a memorandum about the city of Lakewood. The memorandum was a research project to learn about the demographic of Lakewood including businesses that gross the most revenue, how the many businesses handled the recent recession, and how people felt about the issue not having its own school district. Interviewed the assistant city manager to gather insight about the city. The memorandum is used as a guide to address constituents.

Campaign Volunteer, Cindy Yen for Cerritos City Council February 2008 - March 2008

Volunteered on the campaign staff of Cindy Yen Shen for the Cerritos City Council. Election was non-partisan. Made posters and phone calls to potential voters of the candidate in the main campaign office. Went door to door and talked to potential voters personally.
