Best cost savings idea in the molding area was to the operator inspect all conveyor systems at the beginning of shifts and report feed back of jamming problems which need to be addressed . Trained operators in molding area as far as safety and terminology of equipment in areas , shutdown and start up procedures , readying the monitor faults . Also work with dry offset printing press, poly type . Rebuild gear boxes and plate cylinders repairs. Replace various rollers in roller trains . Best cost savings idea implemented was a catch chute and bin off of a magazine loading system to prevent down stream loading problems which increased production and less gearbox failures . Another cost savings procedure was our Sunday start up procedure . Implemented a mold cleaning at the beginning of each week , effects wear fewer in production breakdowns due to mold problems , broken shoulder bolts and broke ejector rods .Also trained operators on the printers as far as safe set ups were being done and terminology of what they are working on and seeing defects in print , plate pressure , roller pressure, fountain set up, chatter , etc.
