Cox Scheep Construction 400 million construction/ Hotels Schools Special Projects 3/2008 –

A large General Contractor with offices located in Charlotte, Charleston, Jacksonville and Raleigh. The project core is hotels, schools and special projects such as restaurants and tenant interiors. The corporate office is located in Charlotte, NC.

• I was recruited for a Strayer College Project in Savannah, GA. The project was three months behind on schedule. Spearheaded an aggressive work schedule that got the project back on schedule at no additional cost. Installed the owner FF&E package along with their communication systems to further client relations and future work commitments. Design Build. Project value $8.5 million.

• Coordinated punch list and turn-over for an A-Loft Hotel in Charleston, a five story hotel prototype 128 rooms. Provided support during the grand opening, installed kitchen and bar FF&E packages to meet opening schedules. Design Build. Project value $18.5 million.

PROFESSIONAL HISTORY:

James Doran Company 425 million mixed use projects 9/2006 – 3/2008

Founded in 1882, the largest high-end real estate development/ investment company in the Charleston area. Major upscale mixed-use developments in Winter Springs, Fla., Northshore Town Center in Tn., Midlothian Town Center in Va. and Downtown Daniel Island, SC.

• Managed phase one Mixed-use at Winter Springs Town Center, Orlando, Fla. Completed 5 story condo building, 4 story mixed use retail building and 10 tenant finish outs. Responsible for all zoning and code permits, site improvements and all vertical construction. Managed the 3 buildings simultaneously by traveling 100% for 12 months. Design Build. Phase One value $60 million. This was a Davis Bacon Wage project. Completed 8 tenant finish outs at a cost savings of $384,000 dollars.

• Provided pre-construction services for phase two Mixed-use Winter Spring Town Center, Orlando, Fla. The project involved 300 condos, 250 retail units and 175 commercial spaces and 2- 4 story parking garages. My involvement included bidding process, budgets, contractor selection and qualification, attending zoning meetings and scheduling. Design Build. Phase Two value $80 million. This was a Davis Bacon Wage project. The project was placed on hold.

• Midlothian Town Center a mixed-use project in Richmond, Va., Responsible for getting all site improvements, underground utilities and coordinating with VADOT for future roads. Cultivate relationships with VADOT, utility companies and oversee construction-management affairs and all building trades during the construction project. Design Build. Project Value 48 million dollars.

IMSG/ Durra Building Systems Government Contract Position 3/2006 – 9/2006

• Contract for 2 two story buildings, concrete and steel built on waterfront for NOAA. Coordinated complex computer and communication systems. Review all materials placed so as to conform to plans and spec’s, report deficiencies, maintain progress reports, update schedules, schedule engineering tests and maintain reports, OSHA training for job safety. Keep daily government logs using government software.

• Certified as a QC Project Manager certificate valid until 2012.

Kenlan Development/ Grace Construction Land Development/ General Contactor 11/1999 – 3/2006

Projects included Best Buys, Malco Theaters, Wendy’s, Cracker Barrel, TGIF, Builders First Source and others.

• Develop land projects from 80 to 300 acres. Establish underground services, streets and roads coordinate with various DOT’s for new roads. Contract to build or we would be their Construction Manager for their project. Saved 45,000 dollars on relocation of lift station. On site for all vertical construction.

• Maintain communication with clients, architects, engineers and city officials. On schedule and budget for 90% of the projects assigned. Travel 3 states.
