L’Garde Inc., Tustin, CA Mechanical Design Engineer 01/08-11/08

Created & developed from concept the 3D models for Sensor Calibration Device (SCD) program for the

Air Force to be launched into Low Earth Orbit. Device consists of pneumatic ejection, electronics

packaging, spring actuated mechanism and pyro release. Completed PDR with Air Force customers –

customers were very satisfied with the development. Other assignments include drawing of test

equipments for the testing of subsystems and overseeing the testing being performed.

Alliance Spacesystems Inc., Pasadena, CA (Contract) Mechanical Designer/Drafter 04/07-11/07

Modified 3D models and created detail drawings of tight tolerance parts for the Mastcam camera of the

Mars Rover. Drawings required the usage of GD&T, ANSI Y14.5 & ASME practices in SW. Duties also

involve creating 3D parts & drawings for the testing fixture to test the above pieces. Other assignments

include modifying and detailing parts for the Optical Bench - a Lockheed Martin subcontract project. Also

assisted with the Ecliptic camera lens change project requiring FOV and Sun Exclusion Region

calculations.

Rock-Ola, Torrance, CA (Contract) Mechanical Design Consultant 12/06-03/07

Solid modeling of new Juke Box concept utilizing SW. Modeling involves Surfacing and Compound curves

to generate Front Panels and other accessories that mount into the panels creating an aesthetically

appealing front face. Other projects involve revising existing designs to accommodate new state-of-the-art

electronic components; this involves designing sheet metal and electronics packaging. Worked with

Vendors to create prototypes and first articles.

Mykotronx-Safenet, Torrance, CA (Contract) Mechanical Design Consultant 04/06-11/06

3D Modeling of Encryption technology devices utilizing SW. Modeling includes housing/Sheet Metal parts/PCB & electronic parts/hardware & assemblies. Tasks also include Mechanical drafting of above

components for Fabrications. Other duties include CDR of 3D models to Review Board and liaison with

Manufacturing Vendors.

Driessen Aircraft Interiors, Garden Grove, CA (Contract) Mechanical Designer 08/05-04/06

Designed Aircraft Galleys for various commercial airlines. Duties include layout analysis in addition to

drawings that include installation, assembly & details. CAD tools utilizes SW, Smarteam & M.E. 10.

Occasional liaison work with manufacturing to help meet deadlines.

Boeing Satellite Systems, El Segundo, CA MTS III Mechanical Vehicle Engineer 08/02-05/05

Liaison Engineering responsible for resolving issues that arise during integration of Satellites. Duties

involve Process Anomalies (PA), often interacting with Structural designers regarding the disposition of

composite panels involving aluminum honeycomb core and aluminum face sheets. Support of Testing and

Harness groups include verification of deployment and/or stowing of Reflectors; mate/demate of harness

cables. Other duties include Critical Clearance Checks and high tension clamp-bands using Vishays &

Bolt Mike. Side job include modeling Payload brackets for Electronics Division using CATIA V5.

Hughes Space & Communications, El Segundo, CA MTS III Blankets Lead 03/00-03/02

Gathered requirements to design and develop drawings of Thermal Blankets. Layout drawings and

supervised up to 4 designers during design phase with computer models and drawings using CV.

Also supervised and assisted with the integration of Thermal Blankets onto Flight Satellite.

B/E Aerospace, Orange, CA (Division Closed) Project Engineer 07/98-03/00

Project Engineer for Legend program involving passenger seats for commercial airline industry. Product

is primarily of aluminum tubing and sheet metal but also include vacuum-form plastics. Work included

layouts and drawings using UG as well as writing Service Bulletins adhering to FAA requirements. Gave

daily briefings and progress reports to Engineering Director. Frequently interacted with Purchasing,

Planning, Manufacturing and outside Vendors.

Performed layout, detail, assembly and installation drawings, using both CADAM & CATIA (V4), of AES

Heat Exchanger Products made of Inconel. Worked in Turbo-machinery group to develop detail drawings

of fans and modeling it in Pro/E. Other projects included Cold Plates for International Space Station Alpha.

Created CADAM 3-D modeling of US Governmental contracted Missile Warheads. Developed

jig fixtures for support of Warheads. Data collection and reduction for volumetric and area calculations

from testing.

Interior Nomex honeycomb core panel work on the P7-LRAACA using CADAM.
