Project

Wireless Remote controlling Unit

Role and Responsibilities

Desiging ,Software code(Assembly ) , testing & Debugging

Designing: Designed Wireless Remote Controlling unit using Atmel 89C52

Microcontroller and GSM modem module.

• Component selection , electrical designing, interfacing between

Microcontroller board to GSM modem module.

• Writing assembly language program

• Testing and Debugging on this microcontroller board and GSM modem board.

Brief description of project: The main heart of this unit is atmel controller.

It is 40 pin, with internal Flash memory controller, Two 5V DC relay and

GSM module and SIM card. The GSM module is controlling by Microcontroller through UART port. The Two relays are controlling by controller I/O pin. Relays output terminal are Connected to the some devices (example Motor pump Light or Fan) Making this device ON / OFF from remote area by just sending SMS message to this unit. so this unit reading this message ,then switch ON or OFF the devices.

Testing:

Measuring the clock frequency, voltage level, duty cycle, overshoots

and under shoot, UART interfacing, LDO regulator voltages, etc.

Karna Technology Pvt Ltd, Bangalore (Associate .Engineer (R&D))

July 2002 - Jan 2004

Project

GPS & GSM Based Vehicle Tracking device

Role and Responsibilities

Testing , Debugging

Testing of Vechile Tracking unit:

• Volatge regulators volatge and ripple measurement

• Clock frequency , rise and fall time , volatge level

• UART intercing tesing

• GPS module testing

• GSM modem module testing.

Brief description of project: This Vechile tracking unit consit of Atmel microcontroller , 5 V regulator, GSM modem module ,GPS module and RS232 .

The main purpose this unit is to tracking Vechicle by using the GPS reciver module . this GPS reciver will give the geographic coordinates called latitude and longitude. Then this coordinates will send to remote sever by sending SMS message through the GSM modem.

The Remote server will contain the lookup table of all geographic coordinates, and then display the exact place on the display module.

SPARR Electronics Ltd, Bangalore (Asst.Engineer (R&D))

Oct 1998 - June 2002

Project

Remote controling unit ( using Telephone line )

Role and Responsibilities

Desiging, Testing and Debugging

Desiging &Testing : Remote controlling Unit

• Regulator Volatge and ripple measurement

• Real clock and system clock measurement

Brief description of project: Here I am using a telephone as a media, which serves main part of this system, by using home phone as a local phone and another phone landline as a remote phone.

Features:-

• You can control up to 10 devices. It may be any electric or electronic appliances or devices with simple to heavy appliances. Each device is given a unique code.

• It makes accurate switching, any false switching of device are not done.

• There is no risk for false switching.

• Tour local phone (i.e., home phone or office phone) can be used for normal use by using a DPDT switch. So you need not use a separate telephone line for this device controlling.

• To perform any operations through remote phone line, the user needs to dial to the local telephone (to which the interfacing circuit is connected) then the respective code of the device is dialed.

• This circuit does not require any complex IC, so any one with little knowledge of electronics can construct this circuit, because it does not need any programmable IC's or programming.

• This system detects the ringing signal from your exchange with the help of ring detector and automatically switches ON.

• This device saves your money. This circuit switches OFF after a time of 60 seconds (you can change this switch ON-Time which is discussed in detail in coming section).

• Before changing the state of the device we can confirm the present status of the device.

• This circuit gives an acknowledgement tone after switching ON the devices to confirm the status of the device.

• You can control devices from local telephone. It can also be controlled by PCO.

BEL LTD. Bangalore. (Technician)

• Clock frequency ,voltage level measurement.

• UART tesing by connecting this module to PC com port

• Then sending modem command to this module.

Centum electronics Ltd. (Trainee )

Dec1996 - April 1997

Project

Power Supply circuit ,Digital Timer

Role and Responsibilities

Testing : Testing regulator power supply .

• Line regulation by varing the input volatge ,then measureing the voltage and ripple volatge.

• Load regulation by varying the output load , then measureing the voltage and ripple volatge.

Desiging Digital Timer board:-

Brief description of project: - Digital timer switches are used to control the operation of electrical devices based on a programmed schedule. This project describes a programmable digital timer based on a PIC16F628A microcontroller that can be programmed to schedule the on and off operation of an electrical appliance. The appliance is controlled through a relay switch. This timer switch allows you to set both on and off time. That means, you can program when do you want to turn the device on and for how long you want it to be remained on. The project uses a 16 2 character LCD with 4 push buttons to interact with the user.
