CORE COMPETIENCE

Design Leadership - As head of chemical engineering department lead a team of process engineers to successfully redesign MEK processing plant, from an old plant in India based on basic design by Texaco, utilizing many equipment from the old plant whilst increasing the capacity by 40%, implanting new control system to change the operation from manual to full automatic operation with many new control loops. Incorporated new pressure relief system in accordance to the latest API standards. Added an ESD system with several levels to insure safety of the plant. Performed multi-discipline HAZOP on the whole plant. Designed tank-farm, utilities, and loading/unloading station among others. Added automatic start-up and shut-down to new DCS system.

Project Management – Lead a multi discipline team of engineers to highly profitable EPC project for Butadiene plant inside of Jam Petrochemical plant (largest Olefin unit in the world). Coordinated all engineering activities in accordance with construction requirements. Managed all purchasing for technical correctness and timely delivery. Oversaw all phases of the project from design to commissioning and handover.

Process Improvement – Lead process engineer responsible for duplication of MTBE plant while performing process improvement and trouble-shooting on the first plant; incorporating new control system, redesigned relief system to allow increased input into the system. Lowered energy consumption by redesigning distillation towers, heat exchangers. Lowered methanol consumption and waste by design and addition of a new absorption tower.

Tender Management – Managed a team of engineers for successful bid on tender for oil desalination, sulfur removal, gas recovery, gas injection, gas, oil and water pipeline project which resulted in the EPC project worth more than 100 million dollars being awarded. Obtained the best engineering points in between twenty companies which participated in that tender.

Sales Engineer – Worked as technical sales engineer for Hochest AG. as sales engineer responsible for plastic sales; increased sales form one million dollar to 8 million dollars per year in just two years.
