Nature of jobs handled:

• Reviewing Data sheets, P&IDs, PFDs of Hydrogen unit.

• Experience in Panel /DCS operations-FOX BORO

• Preparation of detailed documents and comments for discussion with licensors and vendors.

• Conducting quality assurance checks in the construction phase.

• Analysis of process problems and troubleshooting.

• Preparing specific energy consumption norms for the new units.

• Conducting Performance Test Runs for Hydrogen and Merox units.

• Evaluating catalyst life, efficiency of compressors, energy balance for the existing Hydrogen complex

• Responsible for conducting feasibility/screening studies leading in design of process facilities.

• Involvement in HAZOP/SIL related studies/ analyses

• Provide design follow-up during engineering/startup of the facilities.

• Checking the of Isometric drawings with respect to P&IDs of unit and calculating the hold-up volume of equipment and piping.

• Reviewing of the control logics with P&IDs

• Reviewing Process HAZARD analysis report and implementing in the SOP

• Excellent analytical skills for evaluation of parallel process technology options, process licensor information, cost estimations.

• Conversant with simulation tools HYSYS, HTRI and ASPEN PLUS

• Involving design / rating of process equipments, PSV’s, pressure drop calculations

• Developing simplified graphic pages from P&IDs for DCS purpose.

• Preparing Standard Operating procedures (SOP) & Operating manuals for safe start up and shutdown of hydrogen and merox units

• Planning, implementation & monitoring of technological changes to enhance productivity.

• Modifications in equipments, process flow, working practices, consumables, power etc for controlling & reducing conversion cost per unit produced.

• Planning / executing cost saving and energy saving techniques/ measures and modifications to achieve substantial reduction in O&M expenditures.

• Coordinating pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for JERP Hydrogen plant

• Involved in development of program for Overall Performance Checks, Efficiency of rotary equipments, and heat duty check of Heat Exchangers.

• Involved in carrying out a vital modification Reformer catalyst modification.

• Provided a modification for routing Sat gas to fuel gas header thereby running the Hydrogen plant on Natural Gas feed, by stopping feed gas compressors and saving power.

• Preparing Standard Operating procedures (SOP) & Operating manuals for safe start up and shutdown of Hydrogen unit.

• Preparing Standard Operating procedures (SOP) & Operating manuals for safe start up and shutdown of hydrogen compressor unit and Refinery fuel gas units

• Rating of Heat Exchangers and Air Coolers for various projects.

• Preparation of Line Designation Table, Fluid List and various other documents for different projects.

• Updating and reviewing of P&ID’s for various projects.
