PROJECT DETAILS:

PROJECT TITLE: Access Control database

Duration: December 2008 to till to date

This application is used to create the access control request for general location or room specific. These requests are raised either by the users directly or these are raised by the access control department on behalf of the peoples who require the access. Apart from these normal request users can also raise a Mass Extension request. With this access form users can mention a group of people who need the same access. So that no separate request has to be raised for each member.

The general request and the Additional access requests will be passed through a workflow approval in which the request requires the line managers approval as the first approval after which it is approved by the head of department, access Control department and finally by human resource department in a sequence.

PROJECT TITLE: Document Review database

Document Review contains the document related to the change request created for all the department related applications. This database is a workflow related database which maintains the electronic signature of the reviewer. The work product document will be set to finished status on approving the review document and the signoff document. The work product document can also be set to finished status by creating the signoff document and giving signoff before the reviewers give their approval for the review document. This will cancel all pending review document and creates the signoff document.

The system follows the approval workflow. The first step of the approval will be given by the reviewer on the review document. This approval will be based on the acceptance or justification for the comments given by the reviewer. Followed by, the signoff document will be created by the author and the document is signed off or rejected by the reviewers.

• This database was running with a old workflow which was requested to be changed to the standard of flox engine developed in deutsche – boerse. I have involved in the designing the new database and implementation.

PROJECT TITLE: Tax Service database

Duration: December 2008 to till to date

Software: Lotus Domino 6.5

This database provides the clear stream tax service department(Biggest department of Deutsche-boerse group) to view and manage all the LBO’s (List of Beneficial owners), Tax vouchers and certificate out of one application. The LBO’s and certificates are uploaded into the clearstream website. These are then uploaded into the Tax service database by the scheduled agent which runs every 5 minutes. The uploaded files are then verified and send for approval. The approval of the document is given by the work flow process developed with Flox workflow framework(Special workflow engine developed in deutsche-boerse group). These approved documents details are collected as an excel files and exported to KADI (External database) by a schedules agent.

The LBO’s with the market value Germany are called as Tax vouchers. Every LBO’s are archived after the document reaches the status 90 except the tax voucher documents. Tax voucher documents will stay in the actual database for 3 weeks after the document is approved. This helps the tax service department to edit and resubmit the document even after the document got approved

• This database is considered as a critical database as this involves monetary transaction with the clients of Deutsche boerse group. Any problems that arise with this database will be considered with high priority and delay will cause in loss to the deutsche-boerse group.

PROJECT TITLE: Holiday Request Database

Duration: December 2008 to till to date

Software: Lotus Domino 6.5

. This is the system with which the users of Deutsche boerse can create there holiday requests and maintain the track of their holidays. The system works with the workflow engine (Flox). Once the request is raised the users will get the option to submit it to the project manager or the supervisors. The approval is though the work flow where the final approval is made by the HR. Before which it should be approved by the supervisors, head of department and then the time management team. In case the users want to cancel the request then a separate work flow will be initialized. After the approval the data’s are sent to the SAP system through the LEI interface. An agent is scheduled to run every day night to do this task. In case no holidays quotas are available for the users then SAP system returs the status which will be updated in the holiday request of lotus notes.

The department specific administrators will be responsible to create the documents and make it available for the users. All the documents in this database have to go through a release workflow and finally published for the department users. The database is created with the special workflow engine created in deutsche-boerse where most of the workflow related stuff is configurable. The database is considered as critical as details are legal related. .

This system is the time sheet database for the client ‘Lincoln Financial group’. Users will be clocking the time they have worked against the work item and submit the time sheet for approval. These time sheet document statuses will be changed from open to approved by the scheduled agent. These documents will be send to the archive database by an another agent after three months of time.

PROJECT TITLE: Money In Systems

Duration: Feb 2007 to till to November 2008

The Money-In application acts as a collector of monetary transactions for different annuity areas.The application allows annuity areas like Employer Sponsored Annuities (ESA), Individual Annuity Operations (IAO) and Retirement Financial Services (RFS) to record all moneys that come in for annuity investment or transfer.

New deposits received either in the form of check, cash, ACH , wired transfer etc are applied to appropriate accounts. A money sheet is created for each of the deposit types above and transactions are created. An Agent is configured to run at 5:10 PM EST everyday (except on weekends) to extract the transactions created for that day and generate an extract file. This file is pulled into mainframe by an external job and fed to a General Ledger System.

The processing of money data coming into this application is separated into two distinct but interconnected flows referred to as ‘Day 1’ and ‘Day2’ processing

This system is a workflow application automated to allow Project Finance team to use the RIM template to perform credit grading and submit the updated scorecard to the approver for approval. It is used to record down the approved/declined/Refer back overridden scorecard information. The rating process will be monitored with audit trial and document control to lessen the human errors and turnaround time. Set-up of Project Finance Database in Lotus Notes Platform to capture the deal data based on the status of the scorecard. Mailer configuration is used in the system to send mails to the approvers and the creators.

New Business Initiatives centralizes all the Business Initiatives documents in lotus notes database. The application currently has a section for the Discussion Phase, Concept Phase and Development Phase. The section contains linked documents with information updated by the users at each phase. The enhancement is to add additional sections to the application to provide more detailed records of for the FSA and for some amendments to the existing workflow functionalities

Third is the ‘Deal Management Database’ that contains the information of the agreements made with the customers and the current status of the deals Final one is the ‘Account Management Database’ maintains account for a group of customers (Corporate Group or Single Customer).

PROJECT TITLE: TRADE APPROVAL SYSTEM

This system is used to apply for Trade Transactions, which is used by Trade Services and Institutional Bank.

Each Transaction needs two approvals. One is from the originating country and the other one is from the destination country. Originating Country is the ‘Issuing Country’ from where the amount will be transfer and the destination country is the ‘Registered Country’ where the amount to get transferred. Bank risk can be approved or Declined by MIRM in London, Singapore, Dubai, India, South Africa, Korea, Hong Kong and New York, and the country risk approval will come from the respective issuing country. The approver’s user details and the approval amount are mentioned in the TAS Reference table database. The workflow of the document is originating the document by the originator and passes it for verification. The verifier will verify the document and pass the document for the recommender (optional) or the Bank Risk approver. The document passes to the next approver if the approval limit of the user is less than the transaction amount or the document status will be changed to the approved.
