Summary
I served ten years in the US Navy. I achieved the rank of IT2 or E-5. In that ten years I acquired many IT skills moving from a bench tech to a Systems administrator. At the end of my naval career I ran a network with 8 servers 2 routers 3 switches and 2 Cisco Pix firewalls. I maintained their access lists and open and closed ports as needed. I was the active directory and email admin. Making accounts and putting them into organizational units that applied the policy required to maintain navy standards on the account. Also with in the account creations we mapped home directories and set email disk quota’s I was also responsible for everyday trouble calls for break fix issues. Since I have left the military I have worked at various places as a Systems administrator. I have negotiated the purchase of several pieces of equipment and software managed all infrastructures to a Wan consisting of five locations. I managed all vlan and phone systems to work at peak optimization. I configured and wrote policies and procedures to comply with Hippa standards. I wrote the standing operating procedures to train medical personal to load all information into new EMR systems and maintained connectivity of all medical equipment with the electronic medical record data base.

• Maintain network infrastructure to all networks including subnets and access lists.
• Cisco Pix firewall open ports on the pix firewall to allow connectivity to the fleet for programs such as fleet messaging and chat.

As a result this created user accounts of various account levels providing a better more secure service for the network. Trained all users on Windows 7 and office 2010 providing a better understanding of the new technology involved in the new network.
