WORK EXPERIENCES

Jan,**** present, director of research department on virtualization and cloud computing solution in h3c,HP network division(3com/h3c was aquired by HP);

Responsible for designing virtualization and cloud computing solution for HP network solution(Tritium Project).

Lead the team to develop virtual switch product based on linux hypervisor (Xen,KVM etc) to design DC virtualization solution ;member of IEEE 802.1Qbg EVB group, design EVB virtual switch; Based in beijing institute of H3C(HP network division which was aquired from 3com) .

Sep 2007 Feb 2010, Senior Network solution architect , distinguished network scientist, CTO office member, Director of advanced technology group(ATG) team;

Responsible for DC virtualization network solution design; worked in Mrlborough, MA USA ;

Jan 2003---Sep 2007, distinguished system engineer in Huawei-3com joint venture technology company(H3C company)(2003.1 2007.9)

Responsible for designing the security network product portfolio ,successfully release the Secpath series firewall product portfolio ;

Responsible for Designing the first L4 L7 network blade product in h3c, which became the key product in h3c core layer Ethernet switch solution.

Feb 1997 Jan 2003, Senior TCP/IP embedded router and switch software engineer in Huawei Company

Design Chasis based core layer router and core layer Ethernet switch embedded software.

Most of the products are all successfully release to the international market in huawei, such as the carrier grade based core layer routers: NE80, S6506,S8016 etc

Skills & achievements

• Have the deep study on libvert, virt-inst, virt-manager and openstack etc cloud computing technology. I am good at programming on python, GTK+ programming;

• Senior experts at TCP/IP technology ,is very familiar with the IETF &IEEE Protocols: TCP/IP route protocol such as RIP,OSPF and IS-IS, BGP, Vlan, STP,VRRP etc.

• Senior enterprise network solution designer, Very familiar with Cisco enterprise network solution and product technologies :such as (Catalyst S6500,Nexus 7000 series, Cisco wan routers ASA series, Cisco Firewall and FWSM module in S6500 ).

• Senior experts at Ethernet network technology, familiar with Ethernet switch product development and market; understand the technology of Ethernet forwarding ASIC design very well.

• Expert on FCoE and data loseless Ethernet technology and some of the relative DataCenter network technologies, such as TRILL,SPB, IEEE 802.1Qbg ,IEEE 802.1Qbh etc and the multi-tenant network solutions( L2 large scale DC network).

• Expert on layer4-layer 7 network solution, ssl, LB and ipsec VPN etc.

• Senior embedded network software developer, is good at linux embedded programming and linux kernel driver development;

• Is very good at C/C++,Java and Python language programming, still hold the strong passions on software programming, especially has the great interest on internet and cloud computing;

• Has strong knowledge on cloud computing and virtualization, deep analysis on vmware, citrix IBM, Cisco cloud computing strategy and the technologies. Frequently to join the cloud computing strategy meetings of HP in Cupertino, CA .

Research(at present)

Studying the virtualization and libvert /qemu&KVM (etc) open source project, and lead the team in hp network provision to develop the virtual switch based on KVM&Xen hypervisor.

The member to join the IEEE 802.1Qbg draft group; Research on VNTag/VEPA/VEM server network virtualization protocols(HP 802.1Qbg group);

Study and keep trace of TRILL& SPB protocols progress.

Research on cloud computing technology in enterprise network solution;(open source cloud computing )

Cooperate with HP HPN team to design CaaS(Connectivity as a Service) &NaaS(Network as a Service) architecture(From Feb 2011-present);
