The bulk application of TCMS is extensively used by approximately 1000 users and has added lot of revenue to Pershing. The application provides an interface to perform bulk level trading actions (Bulk Inputs, Corrections and Cancels of trades). A Maximum of 1500 messages are sent and are processed in a lesser time period compared to when the messages are sent individually.

The requirement was to display 500 trades at a time by an user’s single click of the input request. The Back End (mainframes) needed to code numerous cursors for various combination of users input. Indexes were designed accordingly and cursors were coded according to the indexes for faster response. The request and response are logged in VSAM files for easy debugging purpose.

The requirement needed to split an users account with certain quantity of shares across maximum of ten user’s accounts with the quantity being split across those ten user accounts.

Security Checks were made for the user accounts, Edit checks were made for the trade details and finally the trade was sent for processing. Any error encountered is sent to the user immediately and the trade will not be sent for processing. The entire process was designed to function synchronously with the request and response being sent via different queues

The requirement needed to process Equity allocation trades for submitting to Pershing advisory Solutions (PAS) - A department under Pershing. Security checks and edit checks for Equity trades was made and the trade was sent to undergo approval rules designed by the PAS. If all the checks are gone through the allocation message is formatted and ready to be sent for processing. New VSAM file was created to log the data of allocations, New request Queue was created for faster processing of messages. Logging was also done in tables.

Insurance Service Organization (ISO) provides services to insurance organizations one of which is the Statistical analysis of insurance data. The project involves designing of screens that allows user to perform statistical error correction of insurance data. The screens were designed using CICS map and Data displayed from the mainframe database (DB2). Batch jobs were created to maintain the data in the database. QA based testing involved submitting the batch jobs manually, Checking the database and the online CICS screens.
