Career Coaching / Counseling
• Offer employment assistance and educate participants on job search techniques and resources available through continuous research and monitoring of trend changes daily.
• Provide one-on-one assessments with resume writing and cover letters, career coaching, counseling and mentoring by reviewing, identifying and understanding individual’s needs daily.
• Conduct mock interviews while explaining the various techniques and styles of interviewing such as verbal/non-verbal communication, 30-second commercials, etiquette and interview attire and provide feedback on areas needing improvement.
• Lead Employment Assistance brief during Transition Readiness Seminar (TRS); facilitate the importance of having an Individual Transition Plan (ITP) and assist participants with implementation.
• Facilitate 5-day TRS mandated by Congress to over 50 military members from all military branches and rank structures and their spouses monthly.
• Provide group and individual needs assessments when responding to internal support request; coach management and personnel to help maintain employee retention.
• Instruct five, 3 hour workshops monthly; Career Assessment, Resume Writing, Federal Hiring Practices, Interviewing Techniques and Social Networking.
