Description: The aim of the project is the analysis and design of an X-band down converter in the data acquisition system of the remote sensing satellite ground station established for Indian satellite cartosat 2a/2b operating in X-band frequency. In the first stage the X-band frequency (7.9-8.6) GHz signal from the satellite is converted to (2.3-2.9) GHz.In the second stage the (2.3-2.9) GHz frequency is converted into IF frequency of 720MHz using a frequency synthesizer
