UNITED SPACE ALLIANCE (formerly Lockheed Martin SMSS, Loral, IBM – FSD), Houston, Texas:

4/2005 to 8/2011 – Manager, Engineering/Computer Science, Flight Software Test & Operations:

Provide technical direction, Goals, objectives development, feedback, and performance

evaluations for a team of nine Staff System Analysts; provide written and verbal status to senior management and program management; interface with NASA customer and other contractor stakeholders; provide additional software systems analysis support in the field when required.

4/90 to 4/2005 - Staff System Analyst, Flight Software Test and Operations:

Serve as a field representative at the Shuttle Avionics Integration Lab (SAIL) and the Integrated Training Facility/Shuttle Mission Simulator (ITF/SMS) at NASA's Johnson Space Center. Responsibilities included:

o Analysis and resolution of issues that may pertain to the Primary Flight Software in Guidance, Navigation, and Flight Control (GNC).

o Provide technical analysis and support to the PASS FSW Discrepancy Report (DR) Board to aid in resolving any FSW discrepancies discovered or suspected in SAIL or SMS tests.

o Development and delivery of FSW patch programs as required to achieve specific test

objectives.

o Edit and publish the Primary Avionics System Software (PASS) User's Guide for new Flight Software releases.

o Serve as a TEAM LEADER for Space Shuttle mission support in the Mission Evaluation Room (MER)in NASA Mission Control during Shuttle Missions.

o Serve as the PASS FSW Point of Contact for the review of NASA’s Shuttle Flight Rule

Change Requests utilized during Shuttle mission training and flights.

6/84 to 4/90 – Requirements Analyst and Software Test Engineer

Interpret written requirements for FSW from NASA engineers and assist USA

Programmers in understanding them; and conducting performance simulations

on the FSW, using a TSO/SPF application for an IBM 370 mainframe computer, and

participate in Requirements Inspection/Review meetings as a Lead RA or Moderator.
