* WORK EXPERIENCE
Research Assistant, Virtual Environment Lab, UT Arlington,Tx, USA (Feb’09-present)
Assisting voluntarily Dr.Devarajan in preparing research proposals for institutions like NIH,NGA. So far I have worked on two proposals, Context based image retrieval and Visually assisted haptic guided biopsy.
Intern, AST Labs, Qualcomm Inc.,San Diego, CA, USA (Jan’08-Aug’08)
Project: Software Integration and testing Targets: MSM7201A, MSM6290
Feature testing of 3G chipset software for HSUPA(WCDMA UMTS release 6) protocols specified by 3GPP specifications (e.g. 25.214, 25.215, 25.321, 25.322).
Analysing UE logs and network logs to identify functional failures. Reproduce failures by applying specilized testing in order to enable additional debug efforts and narrow down the causes for failure.
Bringing up new test setup on network simulators, e.g. Anritsu, BOA.
Reporting UE crashes with all information (memory dumps, current status of stack, messages) to testing and development teams. Sending weekly status report to manager and mentor.
Software Engineer, Cybage Software, Pune, India.(Sep’05-Dec’06)
Project: 123mrp Domain: Manufacturing
Developed complete GUI and business logic for one complete operation of manufacturing process using C#.net, ADO.net, xml, ComponentOne and MS-SQL Server 2000/2005.
Fixing functionality bugs, meeting with task deadlines, interacting with client and developing new features, training new team members, following quality processes.

Tools: MATLAB, OPNET, QXDM, Apex, Trace32, Anritsu protocol analyzer, ADS, ModelSim, Xilinx.
* ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Digital Communication System Design: Designed a physical layer simulation reference system for digital communication in MATLAB. Viterbi maximum likelihood decoder was used for decision making.
Embedded Microcontrollers: Built hardware and software for a bi-directional communication system between a PC and a slave controller. Hardware consisted of RS232,75ALS180 and PIC18F4620. It consisted of two circuits, a voltage level converter and controller circuit driving peripherals.
RF Circuit Design: Designed a power amplifier using ADS, as designing tool, to meet given specifications - Freq band 2.5GHz-3.5GHz, Gain 6-8dB, output power less than 15 dBm, stable operation 1 GHz -10 GHz.
Advanced Wireless Communication: Designed a physical layer simulation reference system in MATLAB using space-time block coding and measured performance for 2x1,2x2,4x1 and 4x4 topologies. BPSK was used for modulation.
Wireless Networks: WLAN(802.11) network simulation using OPNET. Measured throughput of the network with different number of WLAN nodes(5,10,20). Repeated the same exercise, but change the back-off algorithm and observe the difference.
Router Emulator: Implemented the functionality of a network router, based on IPv4 standards, using C/C++ as a programming language.
Course Work
Wireless Communication Systems, Radio Frequency Circuit Design, Embedded Microcontrollers, Digital Communications, Computer Networks, Fundamentals of Wireless Networks, Advanced Wireless Communications, Digital Video Coding, VHDL, CMOS RF IC Design, Random Signals and Noise.
